摘要： A welding torch (10) for welding on a component has an electrode (12) within a nozzle (14) through which a flow of gas passes. A shield (20) defines an enclosure (22) around the nozzle (14). Means are provided for supplying weld filler material (18) into the vicinity of the electrode (12) through the shield (20). One end of the shield (20) is attached to the welding torch (10). The other end of the shield (20) is open and extends towards the component (16). An inflatable seal (28) is mounted on the end of the shield (20) to seal between the shield (20) and the component (16).

摘要： Apparatus and method for filling spaced apart cavities with particulate material include a transport for moving the cavities along a path of travel. The cavities are partially filled with particulate material at an upstream location while applying vacuum underneath each cavity during such partial filling. The partially filled cavities are then completely filled with a downstream deposit of particulate material while applying vacuum to the upper sides of each cavity during such filling. The combination of vacuum applied underneath the cavity during partial fill and vacuum applied to the top sides of the cavity during complete fill produces approximately 100% cavity fill with minimal extraneous scatter of particulate material.

摘要： A mobile zinc stripping device for stripping zinc from cathodes comprising a moveable base frame, a cathode support frame to support the cathodes during stripping, a stripping assembly for stripping the zinc sheets from the cathodes and at least one power source for powering the stripping assembly. The stripping assembly includes a lateral stripper for separating an upper edge of a zinc sheet from each of the cathodes, the lateral stripper being adapted to bias away from the cathode immediately upon entering between the zinc sheet and the cathode, and a scraping device for completing removal of the sheet from each said cathode. The device also includes a cathode cleaner and a bottom up stacker assembly for stacking zinc sheets.

摘要： Implantable beads which contain agarose and optionally collagen, and are coated with agarose have incorporated within cells which produce diffusible biological products. The beads may be used as implants to modulate a recipient's immune response. The beads may also be used in an in vitro context to encourage specific types of cells to grow, to produce desirable products in culture, or to suppress growth of certain cells. The implants may also suppress growth of certain cells following administration to a subject. Cancer cells such as renal cancer cells when restricted by being entrapped in the beads produce more of a material that suppresses cancer cell proliferation.

The invention is also directed to a method of making such a reflector and a method of modifying conventional reflectors.
