    摘要: A surface acoustic wave device includes a substrate including lithium niobate; a IDT being provided on an upper surface of the substrate and including a plurality of electrode fingers; and a protective film covering the IDT and having an uneven shape on an upper surface thereof. When a pitch width of one pitch of the IDT is p, a width of one of the electrode fingers is p1, a width between the electrode fingers is p2, and a thickness of the IDT is h, following relations are satisfied, p1+p2=p, and h/(2×p)≧4.5%. With this configuration, an appropriate reflection characteristic is realized, and the surface acoustic wave device having excellent temperature coefficient of frequency and electrical characteristic can be obtained.

    摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus is disclosed, which apparatus has a pressure chamber that holds an ink liquid, and a nozzle communicating with the pressure chamber for discharging the ink liquid when pressure is applied to the pressure chamber. The pressure chamber has a diaphragm disposed therein. A piezoelectric element made of a monocrystalline or polycrystalline piezoelectric member highly oriented along a polarization axis showing perovskite structure, and mainly composed of lead zirconate titanate or barium titanate, is used to vibrate the diaphragm. When a specified voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element, it causes the ink liquid in the pressure chamber to be discharged into a recording medium at the front side of the nozzle.

    摘要: A vehicle such as a railroad car is constructed by connecting together side and roof blocks, each equipped with interior components, in a manner to improve the outer appearance of the connections between the side and roof blocks. Longitudinal beams of the side blocks are in contact with the under surfaces of gutters formed by the outer plate of the roof block. The side and roof blocks, equipped with the interior components, are connected together at the gutter portions by a welding which can be conducted solely outside the vehicle. Inside the vehicle, the longitudinal beams and joints secured to the side blocks are connected to lateral beams of the roof block by rivets. Thereafter, a third interior plate is provided between interior plates of the side and roof blocks. Since the connections are formed at the gutter portions, the connecting operations can easily be conducted outside the vehicle and in a manner to assure a good outer appearance.
