摘要: The invention provides a colored golf ball comprising a core, a cover having a plurality of dimples formed on its surface, wherein the golf ball is two-piece structure consisting of a core and a cover, and the surface of the ball is coated with a coating comprising a pearlescent pigment. The ball satisfies the following conditions: (i) a color difference ΔE* between the core and the ball of at least 30; (ii) the core has a transparency which is up to 10% in terms of total transmittance and up to 1.0% in terms of parallel transmittance; (iii) the core has a lightness L* value, expressed in the L*a*b* color system based on JIS Z8729, of at least 82; (iv) the ball has a lightness L* value of at least 50; (v) the lightness L* value of the ball≦the lightness L* value of the core; (vi) the cover has a thickness of from 0.1 to 2.1 mm, (vii) the cover has a transparency which is at least 50% in terms of total transmittance and at least 1.0% in terms of parallel transmittance; and (viii) the cover has a haze (H), mentioned in JIS K7105 (1981), of up to 98. The two-piece colored golf ball of the invention is a fluorescent ball which nonetheless retains a sense of transparency and has a high-quality feel, in addition to which it has a good weather resistance and is capable of preventing a change in color.

摘要: According to this invention, a computer system has a host computer, a first storage subsystem providing a first volume, a second storage subsystem providing a second volume for storing a copy of data stored in the first volume. The computer system stores copy configuration information including correspondence between the first volume and the second volume. The management computer transmits the data erasure request to the first storage subsystem upon reception of a first data erasure request for erasing the first volume. The first storage subsystem stops a copying process of data stored in the first volume to the second volume, transmits a second data erasure request for erasing the second volume to the second storage subsystem, and erases the data stored in the first volume. Thus, in the case of erasing data stored in a storage area, corresponding data stored in a destination storage area is also erased so that security risks can be reduced.

摘要: A data storage or management method is provided which allows both a content object-based access and a file-based access. A first request for storing a content object in accordance with the processing of an application program executed in a host is sent to an object archive control functionality executed in the host, an intermediate server, or a storage apparatus. The object archive control functionality generates an object identifier corresponding to the content object received in response to the first request, a directory name corresponding to the object identifier, and a plurality of file names corresponding to a plurality of fields contained in the content object. The storage apparatus stores a directory having the directory name and the plurality of files having the plurality of file names in accordance with the second request.

摘要: To manage the configuration of a data archiving system without increasing the load on the data archiving system while keeping the performance of computers and the load on storage subsystems balanced, there is provided a computer system, including: a plurality of data archiving servers; a storage subsystem which provides storage extents to the plurality of data archiving servers; and a management computer. The management computer manages data archiving server performance management information, which holds information about performance of the plurality of data archiving servers, and storage utilization information, which holds information about load on the storage extents. The management computer changes the association between the data archiving storage extents and the storage extents based on a data archiving server performance management information and a storage utilization information.

摘要: A storage system capable of identifying all volumes to be audited is provided.Operation logs 3005 concerning the operations of volumes are associated with a time and stored in storage apparatuses 1400 and 1500, and a management computer 1100 collects information about these operation logs 3005, restores the status history of the operation logs 3005, sets, as an audit range, the operation logs 3005 including volumes with an audit period and audit target data stored therein, extracts the operation logs 3005 belonging to the audit range from the restored status history of the operation logs 3005, and transmits the extracted operation logs 3005 to a computer (requesting computer) 1000. As a result, all the audit target volumes can be identified.

摘要: Provided is a computer system, including: a computer; and a storage system coupled to the computer via a network. The computer includes: an interface coupled to the network, a processor coupled to the interface and a memory coupled to the processor. The storage system includes a plurality of volumes in which files are stored. The processor is configured to: decide duplicating files from among the files stored in the plurality of volumes as files to be consolidated; identify a plurality of volumes in which the files to be consolidated are stored; select at least one volume from among the identified plurality of volumes as a consolidation volume based on loads imposed on the identified plurality of volumes; and delete the files to be consolidated stored in the volumes that are not selected. Accordingly, in data de-duplication, it is possible to avoid extra loads from centralizing in a high-load-bearing volume.

摘要: An embroidery lace machine is driven by electric signals. A plurality of selection plates control a jacquard and can move horizontally in response to control elements. A reset bar returns the selection plates to their original positions. In one embodiment, the control elements consist of plates aligned with the selection plates and biased into contact with the selection plates. Electrically actuated solenoids selectively prevent movement of selected ones of the control elements. In a second embodiment, the control elements are wires selectively engageable with a sliding plate. Electrically actuated solenoids are provided for selectively connecting the control elements with the sliding plate.
