摘要: A method and apparatus for resetting a sheet processing device is disclosed in which even if a trouble occurs, a sheet processing can be continued after resetting without wasting the previous processing. In a sheet processing device in which a set of sheets conveyed from an image forming device is discharged to a discharge tray after a predetermined processing process, the processing process is finely divided into plural function units and the function units are individually reset. In a memory device, a status flag indicating the condition of each module unit is assigned to each unit. The presence of a partially performed operation is confirmed by the status flag, and only the function unit having partially performed operation is reset to its initial condition.

摘要: An optical circuit device includes a directional coupling section and at least one diffraction grating. The directional coupling section is comprised of first and second optical waveguides and having a length n times (n is an integer equal to or larger than two) the minimum length required to completely couple light inputted to the first optical waveguide with the second optical waveguide. The diffraction grating is formed in the directional coupling section and has a specific reflection characteristic. When input light beams having different wavelengths are inputted to the input side of the first optical waveguide, light having a reflection wavelength in the diffraction grating is demultiplexed/outputted to the input side of the second optical waveguide. Light beams having other wavelengths are outputted to the output side of the first or second optical waveguide. When the light having the reflection wavelength in the diffraction grating is inputted through one of the output sides of the first and second optical waveguides from which the light beams having other wavelengths are not outputted, the light having the reflection wavelength input through the output side of the optical waveguide is multiplexed with the output light beams having other wavelengths.

摘要: An optical disc drive apparatus includes a reference base. A turntable provided on the reference base operates for receiving an optical disc thereon. An optical pickup head supported by a guide shaft is movable along the guide shaft in a radial direction of the optical disc on the turntable. A movable base supports the guide shaft, and is movably connected to the reference base. The movable base is inclined relative to the reference base at an adjustable inclination angle. A mechanism operates for moving the movable base relative to the reference base and adjusting the inclination angle to correct a tilt of an optical axis of the optical pickup head with respect to an information recording surface of the optical disc on the turntable. A plurality of guide members fixed to the reference base have respective guide surfaces. Guide rollers connected to the guide shaft are in contact with the guide surfaces of the guide members respectively.

摘要: A tying wire is puled out from a continuous stock. It is then bent to form a U-shaped fold of an appropriate length. The U-shaped loop of the tying wire is wound around an overlapped portion to be tied of an article or articles. A front end of the U-shaped fold is wound around the other end by a rotatable hook, thus finally twisting both ends. The tying wire is cut at a rear end an appropriate timing. The apparatus for tying is made up of a mechanism for forming a U-shaped loop of the tying wire, a mechanism for guiding the U-shaped loop to wind it around an external surface of a portion to be tied of the article or articles, a mechanism for twisting the closed end and the other end of the U-shaped loop, and a mechanism for cutting the tying wire at an appropriate timing to an appropriate length.
