The notification system presents the notification content at the appropriate time regardless of whether the application is executing and without resuming execution of the application if the application is not running. Various power efficiency techniques are also used to determine which notifications are presented and when a user interface is updated to reflect those notifications in order to avoid updating the user interface to reflect notifications that would not be observable (e.g., due to a power mode of the computing device).

摘要： Provided is a liquid crystal display including a transparent pixel electrode and a transparent common electrode in a pixel region to drive liquid crystals. The transparent common electrode includes a plurality of slits and is configured to open at least a portion of a switching device to connect unit pixels, the slits have an angle of 5 to 10° with respect to a gate line, and a rubbing direction of a liquid crystal layer is substantially parallel to a gate direction. Therefore, it is possible to provide the liquid crystal display capable of removing factors decreasing an aperture ratio, preventing light from leaking, and further improving internal reflection.

摘要： A unitary air conditioner comprises a 1-stage thermostat for generating an operation signal for the unitary air conditioner or a stop signal for the unitary air conditioner, a 1-stage indoor unit having an indoor fan, which is rotated according the operation signal from the 1-stage thermostat, a variable-capacity outdoor unit configured to be operated according to the 1-stage thermostat, the variable-capacity outdoor unit having a compressor and an outdoor fan, the operation stage of which is changed according to the operation state of the variable-capacity outdoor unit, and an indoor fan control device for controlling the indoor fan according to the operation stage of the variable-capacity outdoor unit to change the operation state of the indoor fan. The 1-stage indoor unit is operated along with another unit having different stages, and variable control is accomplished, although the 1-stage indoor unit is used, so long as the indoor fan control device is added to the unitary air conditioner. Consequently, a more efficient air conditioning system is accomplished.

摘要： A method of preventing rapid on/off of a compressor in a unitary air conditioner comprises the steps of, when a unitary-capacity operation signal is inputted from a thermostat to start an outdoor unit, and a specific operation stage is continued for more than a predetermined period of time after the operation is started, changing the operation stage of the outdoor unit to an operation stage higher than the specific operation stage, and operating the outdoor unit in the changed operation stage, and, when the compressor is stopped according to a signal from the thermostat within a specific period of time after the operation stage is changed to an operation stage higher than the specific operation stage, starting the operation in the specific operation stage at the next operation, and still performing the operation in the specific operation stage although the operation state is continued for more than a predetermined period of time. Consequently, the compressor is prevented from being rapidly turned on/off, and therefore, operational reliability of the compressor is improved, and the service life of the compressor is increased.

摘要： The present invention relates to a pneumatic servo valve, and more particularly, to a pneumatic servo valve, wherein displacement of a spool due to flow force of a fluid is prevented by firmly holding the spool just after position control for the spool is completed, thereby ensuring the stability of a valve system, and an encoder is employed as a spool position detecting means. The pneumatic servo valve comprises a hollow main body with a supply port, a discharge port and an exhaust port; a sleeve which is contained in a hollow portion of the main body and has slots communicating with the respective ports, and a chamber therein; a spool axially slidably installed within the chamber to control the flow of a fluid into the respective ports according to the position thereof; a torque motor installed at one side of the main body to control the position of the spool in response to electrical signals; and a spool position detecting means for compensating positional errors by receiving the fedback position of the spool. The pneumatic servo valve further comprises a spool holding means including a ball nut 60 which is engaged, via a ball, with a helical groove formed on a connection rod of the spool connected to the torque motor and rotates when the spool moves linearly, and an electronic brake for holding the ball nut not to rotate when the spool is stopped.

摘要： Disclosed are compressor-controlling device and method for an air conditioner comprising a plurality of compressors. In case several compressors selected from the plural compressors are stopped for a long period of time according to cooling or heating load, the refrigerant contained in a higher-pressure state inside of the stopped compressors moves toward a refrigerant pipe of a lower-pressure inlet port, and oil used to operate the compressors leaks toward the inlet port, thus lowering the oil level within the stopped compressors. Since the stopped compressors are operated during a second designated time when stopped time of the stopped compressors exceeds a first designated time, the stopped compressors are protected from damage due to poor lubrication.

摘要： Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for controlling compressors of an air conditioner. The apparatus includes a temperature sensor, a comparison unit, and a controller. The temperature sensor is installed close to an outdoor unit and serves to sense an outdoor temperature. The comparison unit compares the outdoor temperature sensed by the temperature sensor to a predetermined temperature. The controller determines a heating load when the comparison unit determines that the outdoor temperature is more than the predetermined temperature, and controls the operation of the plural compressors based on the determined heating load. The apparatus determines the heating load by means of the outdoor temperature, and properly operates the plural compressors depending the determined heating load, thereby improving the heating efficiency of the air conditioner.
