Abstract: A plural-bit-per-cell read-only memory constituted by a memory cell array (1), reference cell array (2A, 2B, 2C), and related circuits. In the memory cell array (1), a low resistance ground line (17) crossing the diffusion layer in parallel with the bit lines (15) is arranged for each predetermined length of the diffusion layer, which is used as a common grounding route to the low resistance ground line (17). The reference cell array (2A) includes a plurality of reference cells (211, 212, . . . 21n), and the arrangement of the reference cells (211, 212, . . . 21n) corresponds to the arrangement of the plural-bit memory cells (14) within the predetermined length of the diffusion layer in the memory cells array (1). The transconductance of the reference cells is predetermined in correspondence with the reference voltage values (REF1, REF2, REF3). A column address signal which selects a plural-bit memory cell (14) also selects one of the reference cells (211, 212, . . . 21n) which corresponds to the plural-bit memory cell (14) selected by the column address signal. Thus, in generation of reference voltages (REF1, REF2, REF3), the reference voltage value is corrected taking into consideration the influence of resistance of the diffusion layer according to the location of the plural-bit memory cell (14) selected by the column address signal.

Abstract: A pneumatic tire having an excellent cut resistance is disclosed, which comprises an annular crown portion constituting a tread, a pair of side portions supporting said crown portion, a pair of bead portions located at each foot of said side portions for fitting to a rim, a carcass layer composed of at least one rubberized cord ply toroidally extending between said bead portions and a liner layer disposed indise and adjacent to said carcass layer. In the tire according to the invention, a fault surface having an extremely low adhesion which intercepts the crack growth from the outside of the tire is further arranged in said liner layer at at least a part of a region extending between said bead portions. In the other tire according to the invention, for intercepting the crack growth from the outside of the tire, a low modulus middle rubber layer composed of rubber having a modulus lower than that of the adjoining rubber is further arranged in the tire at at least a part of a region extending between said bead portions. The growth of the cut damage especially given to the side portions of the tire is prevented by the fault surface or the low modulus middle rubber layer.

Abstract: A programmable sequence controller using a technique called microprogramming, including a microprogram memory having a plurality of memory sections each storing a set of microinstructions corresponding to the command word of a sequence instruction. The operation code of the sequence instruction is applied to the upper bits of the microprogram memory so as to select one of the memory sections. The remaining bits are determined by a counter and the ON/OFF state of an I/O element so that one of the microinstructions is read out from the selected memory section.
