The voltage information indicates a minimum operating voltage at which to operate the flash memory device. In general, operating a flash memory device near a minimal operating voltage may substantially minimize power consumption. The minimum operating voltage for individual flash memory devices may vary from IC to IC, by manufacturing lot, and by manufacturer. In a product, the minimum operating voltage for a particular flash memory may be determined, for example, by a controller built-in to a flash memory reporting (automatically or in response to a query) the minimum operating voltage (e.g., 2.5 V, 3.15 V) to a memory controller or microprocessor. The stored voltage information may further include information to adjust the operating voltage based on temperature.

In an automatic decision-making system, a method and a tool for the reduction of the dimension of data mining, which is automatically coupled to an empirical predictor of the system. The method includes a qualitative modeling of the interrelations between various objects whose attributes are relevant to a score made by the predictor according to which decisions are made, wherein this relevancy is determined by an input of a domain expert to the problem in hand. The model is called a Knowledge-Tree and its conclusions are represented by a graphical symbolization called the Knowledge-Tree map. Data mining, which follows the construction of the Knowledge-Tree map regards only datasets which are associated with logical and validated branches of the knowledge tree. Because the expert input which reduces the dimension of data mining was completed prior to data mining, interception by human reasoning is not needed after data mining and the decision making process can proceed automatically.

The method including the steps of: (a) measuring at least one input value of a parameter of the monitorable stage of the process; (a) measuring at least one output value of the parameter of the monitorable stage of the process; and (c) utilizing the at least one input value and the at least one output value for constructing a process output empirical model for uncovering a functional relationship between the at least one input value and at least one output value, the step of constructing the process output empirical modeler being effected by: (i) dividing at least one interval of the parameter into a plurality of sub intervals, such that each of the at least one interval is divided into at least two of the sub intervals; (ii) classifying the at least one output value according to the plurality of sub intervals, thereby presenting the at least one output value as a plurality of discrete variables defining the at least one output value; and (iii) using the plurality of discrete variables defining the at least one output value for defining the functional relationship between the at least one input value and the at least one output value, thereby modeling the monitorable stage of the process.

Z maps combined with a standardized stimulus in the form of a targeted arterial partial pressures of carbon dioxide provide suprisingly enhanced images for the assessment of pathological CVR. For example, the z-map assessment of patients with known steno-occlusive diseases of the cervico-cerebral vasculature showed an enhanced resolution of the presence, localization, and severity of the pathological CVR. Z-map have been found to be useful to reduce the confounding effects of test-to-test, subject-to-subject, and platform-to-platform variability for comparison of CVR images showing the importance of combining this analysis with the standardized stimulus.
