    摘要: There is provided a printing apparatus and method which is capable of printing based on internal data stored within the apparatus or external data inputted from an external storage device, and at the same time capable of setting the enabling/disabling of an automatic power-off function. A tape printing apparatus has a keyboard for entering data indicative of characters and various commands. A RAM stores the data entered via the keyboard, as the internal data. The external data stored in a personal computer is inputted into the tape printing apparatus via a cable. The printing mode is sets to either an internal printing mode in which printing is performed based on the internal data stored in the RAM or an external printing mode in which printing is performed based on the external data inputted from the personal computer via the cable. A printer block performs printing on a tape in the set printing mode. A CPU determines ON/OFF setting of an automatic power-off function of automatically turning off power. When a predetermined time period has elapsed without any input via the keyboard or from the personal computer after the automatic power-off function is determined to be on, the power is automatically turned off in response to a command from the CPU.

    摘要: There are provided a plate-making sheet and a printing device for printing on the plate-making sheet. The plate-making sheet is in the form of a strip and for being printed with stamp characters to be engraved on a stamping face of a stamp, in parallel with a process for making the stamp, for permitting checking of the stamp characters and for indication of the stamp characters on a back surface of the stamp. The plate-making sheet comprises a backing sheet, and an adhesive sheet laminated on the backing sheet and having a surface to be printed with the stamp characters. The surface of adhesive sheet is formed with a character check area to be printed with the stamp characters for permitting the checking of the stamp characters, and at least one indication character area to be printed with the stamp characters for the indication of the stamp characters. In the printing device, a printing mechanism prints stamp characters in a character check area and at least one indication character area. A feeding mechanism feeds the plate-making sheet to the printing mechanism. A sensor detects feed of the plate-making sheet to the printing mechanism.

    摘要: A switched power supply is connected to electronic circuitry the supply of power to which is to be controlled. An automatic switch enables the switched power supply selectively to energize or de-energize the electronic circuitry. A nominally continuous power supply is also provided, and a reset signal generator is connected thereto for generating a reset signal in response to a rising edge of an output voltage of the nominally continuous power supply following an interruption of the output voltage. A power switch is provided, together with a reset device actuated by the reset signal and a switching circuit controller connected to the automatic switch. A memory is connected to the switching circuit controller for memorizing the condition thereof and producing a memory output signal in response thereto. A detector detects the condition of the power switch and produces a detector output signal in response thereto. The switching circuit controller is connected to the reset device, the memory and the detector and generates a control signal for controlling the operation of the automatic switch in joint dependence on the memory output signal and the detector output signal when the reset device is actuated.
