摘要: The electromagnetic interference suppressing device of the present invention includes a plurality of connection layers and ground layers formed of a conductive material. The connection layers and the ground layers are alternately layered. Insulating layers, formed of an insulating material, intervene between the neighboring connection layers and ground layers. The odd connection layers counting from the bottom and the connection layers just above those layers are electrically connected at the same end. The even connection layers counting from the bottom and the connection layers just above those layers are electrically connected at the same end opposite to the odd connection-layered end. The bottommost connection layer is connected to a first signal terminal. The uppermost connection layer is connected to a second signal terminal. The ground layer is connected to a ground terminal.

摘要: A Ni--Zn type ferrite has the composition represented by the general formula: Ni.sub.X Zn.sub.1-X Fe.sub.2-Y-Z Mn.sub.Y Zr.sub.Z O.sub.4 (0.55.ltoreq.X.ltoreq.0.80, 0.001.ltoreq.Y.ltoreq.0.20, 0.001.ltoreq.Z.ltoreq.0.04). The Ni--Zn type ferrite is formed with the step described below. A raw powder is first mixed for 64 hours and then fired at 850.degree. C. in an oxygen atmosphere for two hours. Next, the fired powder is crushed and then the crushed powder is again mixed. Then, a binder is added to the resulting powder, which is then press-formed under a pressure of 2.5 ton/cm.sup.2, and the press-formed powder is sintered at 1350.degree. C. for 5 hours in an oxygen atmosphere.

摘要: An activated carbon/polyacene composite is disclosed. The composite contains activated carbon powder or fiber and having a selected molar ratio range of hydrogen atoms [H] to carbon atoms [C] of 0.01.ltoreq.[H]/[C].ltoreq.0.2. It provides two or more times the capacitance per unit volume, and enables reduction of the equivalent series resistance of an electric double-layer capacitor without compression. It therefore is a suitable composite for use as polarizable electrodes for electric double-layer capacitors. The composite can be made by mixing activated carbon powder or fiber and a thermosetting resin powder such as phenolin resin powder, and subjecting the mixture to heat treatment in a nonoxidizing atmosphere at temperatures between 600.degree. and 1000.degree. C. which is insufficient to reach full carbonization of the thermosetting resin.

摘要: A piezoceramic multilayer actuator (10) has a plurality of piezoceramic layers (12) and a security layer (20) disposed between two piezoceramic layers (12). The piezoceramic layers (12) have a piezoceramic first material sintered at a sintering temperature. The security layer (20) has a second material (32) and particles (30) at least partially embedded in the second material (32). The particles (30) have a third material different from the first material and different from the second material (32). An adhesion between the third material and the first material is weaker than an adhesion between the second material (32) and the first material.

摘要: The invention provides a polarizable electrode composed of activated carbon/carbon composite having micropores among which micropores having a diameter ranging from 0.1 to 5.0 micrometers have a volume ranging from 0.1 to 1.2 cm.sup.3 /g. The composite further has a specific surface area equal to or greater than 1000 m.sup.2 /g, and a density equal to or greater than 0.5 g/cm.sup.3. The micropores having a diameter of micrometers order to be formed in the polarizable electrode in accordance with the invention, facilitate the movement of ions in the electrode. Thus, it is possible to accomplish a polarizable electrode suitable for a larger amount of current discharge.
