摘要: A device for detecting the combustion-chamber pressure in an internal combustion engine is configured in such a way that the combustion-chamber pressure is able to be detected in a reliable and reproducible manner. To this end, a heating pin exposed to the combustion-chamber pressure is fixed in place in a housing of the glow plug with the aid of a fixation member. A sensor is affixed in the housing of the glow plug via a fixation element set apart from this fixation member. This sensor detects the elastic longitudinal expansion of the housing caused by the combustion-chamber pressure between the end of the fixation member facing the sensor and the fixation point of the fixation element on the housing. This device is preferably utilized in the automotive industry.

摘要: Cameras, radios, televisions, set top boxes, telephones, kitchen appliances, and other electrical devices have their own IP address, and communicate using an internetworking protocol. Of particular interest are those devices that utilize some form of mass storage. Communication of the packets between or among elements can occur using any suitable package switched network (or combination of networks), including the Internet. The preferred protocol for communicating packets is IP, and communication of the packets between elements can advantageously occur by virtualizing a native bus using IP. It is especially contemplated that the inventive elements can be disaggregated outside the housing of a device, at distances of several meters or more. Communication can be hard wired, or can include wireless aspects. Adapters are also contemplated that permit traditional elements to be addressed by their own IP addresses.

摘要: A method of gridded glyph geometric objects (L3GO) integrated circuit (IC) design, wherein at least one inter-level connect in a L3GO circuit design is represented as a point matrix glyph (PMG) on a L3GO grid. Each PMG connects a pair of conductors on the next adjacent (above and below) layer and includes an array (one or two dimensional) of point glyphs contained within a cage. The point glyphs may have uniform size and may be on minimum pitch. Each PMG may also include a flange on the above and below layer. A default flange insures adequate coverage of cut shapes represented by the point glyphs.

摘要: Dummy fins are positioned between source and drain regions of adjacent complementary multi-gate fin-type field effect transistors (MUGFETS) prior to selective silicon growth and silicidation. The dummy fins are parallel to, have the same thickness as, and have a smaller length than the fins within the MUGFETs. Further, the source regions of a first MUGFET, the drain regions of a second MUGFET, and the dummy fins are positioned along a single straight linear path, such that the single straight linear path crosses all of the source regions of the first MUGFET, the drain regions of the second MUGFET, and the dummy fins. Because the dummy fins comprise silicon, the dummy fins enhance the ability to selectively grow silicon within the source/drain connection silicide region. Then, after the source/drain connection silicide region is silicided, a consistently formed and reliable electrical connection is made between the source regions of one transistor and the drain regions of the other transistor to properly connect a CMOS structure.

摘要: A storage device has partitions that are separately addressed by distinct IP addresses. This allows direct access of the partitions, on a peer-to-peer basis, by any other device that can communicate using IP. Preferred storage devices support spanning between or among partitions of the same device, as well as between or among different storage devices. Both multicast and proxy spanning are contemplated. Combinations of the inventive storage devices with each other, and with prior art storage devices are contemplated, in all manner of mirroring and other arrangements. In still other aspects of the invention, a given storage device can comprise one or more types of media, including any combination of rotating and non-rotating media, magnetic and optical, and so forth.

摘要: Systems and methods for quickly resolving storage area commands from packet addresses are presented. Clients exchange packets comprising addresses and payloads with physical storage areas that have controllers using a stateless protocol. Modules use the addresses in addition to payloads to derive commands that are understandable by the controller. Furthermore, the neither the module nor the controller require use of a file system to interact with the physical storage area. Modules can derive the storage area commands through resolving a context associated with physical storage area. In some embodiments, modules split addresses into portions that can be used as indices into context lookup tables. In other embodiments, modules can employ variants to router address lookup algorithms to quickly resolve storage area commands.
