Abstract:
A device is configured to obtain backlog information from a network device. The backlog information indicates a backlog of a queue included in the network device. The device obtains settings information for the network device. The settings information indicates a setting of the queue. The device determines an adjustment to the setting of the queue based on the backlog information and the settings information. The device provides adjustment information, indicating the adjustment to the setting of the queue, to the network device for the network to adjust the setting of the queue.
Abstract:
A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium having instructions are provided to receive an attach request from a wireless device to attach to the device; obtain a mobile telephone number of the wireless device from another device of a home wireless network of the wireless device, based on the attach request; receive subsequent to an attachment of the wireless device, a request to establish an unauthenticated Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) emergency call, wherein the wireless device is not registered with a visited Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem and the visited IMS is not communicatively coupled to a home IMS of the wireless device; and provide during an establishment of the unauthenticated VoLTE emergency call, the mobile telephone number to a public access safety point.
Abstract:
An access control device may include logic configured to receive a request from a user device to set up a packet connection for an emergency session to a packet data network via an access network. The logic may be further configured to determine a location associated with the user device; identify a public safety answering point associated with the determined location; determine whether a connection capacity associated with the identified public safety answering point has been reached; and reject the request to set up the packet connection for the emergency session, in response to determining that the connection capacity associated with the identified public safety answering point has been reached.
Abstract:
A device may receive a first request to authenticate a user device for an emergency phone call requested by the user device via a wireless local area network (WLAN). The device may authenticate the user device based on the first request. The device may provide an authentication acceptance message, indicating that the user device is authenticated, based on authenticating the user device. The device may receive a second request, based on providing the authentication message, to establish the emergency phone call. The second request may include an emergency access point name (APN). The device may determine that the emergency APN is not provisioned for the user device. The device may provide, based on determining that the emergency APN is not provisioned, an instruction to allow the emergency phone call from the user device using the preconfigured APN.
Abstract:
A device is configured to obtain base station information for base stations indicating whether data communicated via a respective base station should receive optimization processing. The device may obtain a base station identifier from a base station. The device may determine whether the data communicated via the base station should receive the optimization processing based on the base station information and the base station identifier. The device may receive non-optimized data to be sent to a client device via the base station. The device may selectively cause the optimization processing to be performed on the non-optimized data based on whether the data communicated via the base station should receive the optimization processing. The device may provide optimized data generated by the optimization processing or the non-optimized data to the client device via the base station based on selectively causing the optimization processing to be performed.
Abstract:
A device is configured to obtain network information indicating an amount of client devices, of each device type, registered in an operator network. The device is configured to obtain client device information identifying a client device and determine a device type of the client device based on the client device information. The device is configured to determine a frequency for the client device to use to communicate with the operator network based on the device type of the client device and the amount of client devices of each of the device types registered in the operator network. The device is configured to provide an instruction to the client device to use the frequency to communicate with the operator network.
Abstract:
Digital signal processors (DSPs) process the digital baseband signals associated with CPRI links between BBUs and RRHs. The DSPs may be implemented at the RRH nodes (e.g., at the link leading to the BBU node), at the BBU node (e.g., at the links leading to the RRH nodes), or at both. The DSPs may be used to increase performance of the RAN. For example, the DSPs may implement digital filters designed to enhance the performance of the RAN.
Abstract:
A server device may receive a message from a first user device, the message being destined for a second user device; determine a call session control function (CSCF) server device associated with the second user device; and output, based on the determining, the message to the CSCF server device.
Abstract:
Credit card fraud prevention techniques are disclosed in which the authorization of a payment card may be performed using information obtained from a mobile device (e.g., a smart phone) associated with a user who initiates a point-of-sale payment card transaction. In one implementation, a device may receive a request for authorization of a payment associated with a payment card; and obtain location information relating to a location of a mobile device associated with a user of the payment card. The device may determine, based at least on a location of the point-of-sale terminal and the location of the mobile device, whether to authorize the request for authorization of the payment.
Abstract:
A device is configured to detect that a user device has failed to receive a call attempt for a call intended for the user device and from a calling party, and determine, based on the detection, that the calling party has not left a voicemail message associated with the call. The device is configured to store missed call information, associated with the call, and send a first missed call notification to the user device, where the first missed call notification includes the missed call information. The device is configured to detect that the user device has not received the first missed call notification, and send a second missed call notification to the user device, where the second missed call notification includes the missed call information.
