    Abstract: The information processing device includes an acquisition unit that acquires detection information detected by a detection unit including the vehicle speed of the own vehicle and the inter-vehicle distance from another vehicle running ahead of the own vehicle in the traveling direction of the own vehicle; displaying on a display unit in the vehicle a graphical image representing information about the inter-vehicle time required for the own vehicle to reach the position where the other vehicle is located, which is derived using the acquired detection information; a display control unit that changes display of the graphic image when a magnitude of variation in at least one of the vehicle speed and the inter-vehicle distance included in the information exceeds a predetermined threshold.

    Abstract: A programmable resistance circuit provides a selected resistance by configuring a reference resistor to exhibit an effective resistance, in an operational sense, by achieving an average output voltage between a source line and a return line in the programmable resistance circuit. The average output voltage corresponds to the effective resistance. The effective resistance is achieved by utilizing a modulated voltage source to bias a transistor and intermittently draw current across the reference resistor according to the duty cycle of the modulated voltage source. A programmed resistance circuit can produce a selected resistance corresponding to button selection zones of a vehicle user interface when connected to a remote circuit that acts according to a user selection.

    Abstract: A system for securing a motor to a circuit board of a rearview assembly may comprise a display element having an orientation; a motor having at least two motor terminals; a motherboard having a connection header; and a motor connection printed circuit board defining at least two slots and having a body portion and an end portion. Traces may extend from the at least two slots to the end portion of the motor connection printed circuit board. Each of the at least two motor terminals may be inserted into one of the at least two slots defined by the motor connection printed circuit board; and a portion of each of the at least two motor terminals may extend through the slot in which it has been inserted.

    Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for generating visual projections of information for display on surfaces within a vehicle. An example method can include determining, based on sensor data, candidate surfaces on which to project visual information for a person within a vehicle, the candidate surfaces residing in an interior of the vehicle; based on the sensor data, determine, for each candidate surface, a discernability of the visual information when projected onto the candidate surface, the discernability being determined based on attributes of the candidate surface and the visual information; based on the discernability of each candidate surface, select a particular candidate surface from the candidate surfaces as a target surface for projecting the visual information, the particular candidate surface being associated with at least a threshold amount of discernability of the visual information when projected onto the particular candidate surface; and project the visual information onto the particular candidate surface.
