摘要: An approach is provided in which a knowledge manager generates syntactic annotation tokens that correspond to syntactic relationships between terms included in a source document. The knowledge manager creates a knowledge structure that stores the syntactic annotation tokens in parallel fields and stores the source document terms in original text fields, which align to the parallel fields. In turn, the knowledge manager utilizes the knowledge structure to generate answers to questions based upon the syntactic annotation tokens.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a method for content object optimization. The method includes selecting an object user; obtaining content objects; determining a ranking of the content objects; determining a rotation value; presenting the content objects based on the ranking and rotation value; obtaining feedback associated with the content objects, the feedback obtained at least partially from one or more remote user systems over a communication network; determining empirical scores for the content objects; obtaining behavioral data of an observer user; determining behavioral scores for at least one of the content objects based on the behavioral data; determining a composite score for the at least one of the content objects based on empirical and behavioral scores; updating the ranking based on the composite score(s); presenting at least one of the content objects to the observer user based on the updated ranking.

摘要: A system includes at least one server that implements a metric server adapter and a metrics application. The metric server adapter includes governing logic that manages an evaluation service and predefined instructions and/or data used to provide the evaluation service. The metrics application executes the evaluation service in coordination with the metric server adapter. The server receives or retrieves price data sets, at least one of which represents an unequal offer. The metrics application obtains time-dependent metric data including market reference price data for one or more responsive items, dynamically discovers a difference in the attribute data, and defines offer-specific instructions for adapting the metric data. One or more adjustment values applied to the market reference price data transforms the market reference price data. A comparative metric comprising a differential ratio or index value compares the price data in the offer with the offer-specific market reference price data values.

摘要: A method and associated systems for caching linked queries for optimized compliance management. A user requests that a local application perform an operation upon a local dataset. The processor, in response, determines that the operation requires access to remote auxiliary data that is managed by a remote application. The processor reads from a local cache a set of provisional links that identify past sources of the auxiliary information, and displays information associated with those links to the user, clearly identifying the links and associated information as being provisional. If the user requires direct access to the auxiliary information, the system obtains from the remote application updated, verified versions of the links, replaces the provisional links in the cache with the verified links, and displays to the user the verified links and updated versions of the associated information, clearly identifying the links and information as being verified.

摘要: A question-answering (QA) system first receives input questions. Each question is then assigned to a first question category of a plurality of question categories. The QA system then identifies a set of candidate answers to each question using a core information source. A set of confidence scores, including a confidence score for each candidate answer, is then calculated. The QA system then determines that the first set of confidence scores fails to satisfy confidence criteria. In response to this determination, an updated information source is ingested.

摘要: A system is described that permits identified musical phrases or themes to be synchronized and linked into changing real-world events. The achieved synchronization includes a seamless musical transition—achieved using a timing offset, such as relative advancement of an significant musical “onset”, that is inserted to align with a pre-existing but identified music signature, beat or timebase—between potentially disparate pre-identified musical phrases having different emotive themes defined by their respective time signatures, intensities, keys, musical rhythms and/or musical phrasing. The system operates to augment an overall sensory experience of a user in the real world by dynamically changing, re-ordering or repeating and then playing audio themes within the context of what is occurring in the surrounding physical environment, e.g. during different phases of a cardio workout in a step class the music rate and intensity increase during sprint periods and decrease during recovery periods.

摘要: A search query is received from a first user through one or more input devices. A set of results is determined from content stored on a computer system based on the search query. The set of results includes a first subset of results not accessible to the first user due to access control. A list of results is provided to the first user. The list excludes the first subset of results. A target result is identified from the first subset of results. An owner is identified with control over access to the target result. The owner is notified that the target result is not accessible to at least one user.

摘要: The teachings herein generally relate to client-server communications and the delivery of content over computer networks to clients, and provide improved methods, systems, and apparatus for identifying and/or characterizing client devices that are requesting content from a server. For example, based on information sent in a client device's request for content, a web server modified in accordance with the teachings hereof can identify a set of characteristics associated with that client device. Such characteristics might include the model name of the client device, the screen dimensions of the client device, information about the particular operating system or browser name/version it is running, content formats it is capable of consuming, and so on. The web server can use this information to modify and customize its response for the given client device.
