Abstract: An LED lamp includes at least one LED chip having an emission peak wavelength of 400 nm to 490 nm, and a wavelength converting portion including a phosphor for transforming the emission of the LED chip into light having a longer wavelength than that of the emission. The LED lamp further includes a filtering member, of which the spectral transmittance is adjusted so as to minimize color shifting even if the amount of current supplied to the LED chip to make the LED chip produce the emission has changed.

Abstract: In an antenna for communicating an electromagnetic wave, a first converger converges the electromagnetic wave. A second converger faces the first converger and includes a conductor plate having a through hole, into which a magnetic flux of the converged electromagnetic wave is converged. The through hole is formed at a center portion of the conductor plate so as to have a size which is sufficiently smaller than a wavelength of the electromagnetic wave. The conductor plate is formed with a cutout extending from a part of the through hole to an outer periphery of the conductor plate. A converter faces the through hole of the conductor plate to convert the converged magnetic flux into voltage.

Abstract: A plurality of groups of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), each group being made up of three LEDs with red, green, and blue luminous colors respectively, are mounted at positioning areas of a flexible substrate, on the wiring patterns formed on the top surface of the substrate. A plurality of heat dissipation boards are adhered to the bottom surface of the substrate using an adhesive so as to cover the areas corresponding to the positioning areas of the groups of LEDs.

Abstract: A number of red LEDs, green LEDs, and blue LEDs are mounted on one surface of a polygonal flexible multilayer substrate. The LEDs are connected in series according to color. A red feeder terminal, a green feeder terminal, a blue feeder terminal, and a common terminal are provided on each of at least three sides of the periphery of the flexible multilayer substrate. Circuit patterns for connecting LEDs at the high-potential end of the red, green, and blue series-connected LEDs respectively to the red feeder terminals, green feeder terminals, and blue feeder terminals are provided to the flexible multilayer substrate. Also, a circuit pattern for connecting LEDs at the low-potential end of the red, green, and blue series-connected LEDs all to the common terminals is provided to the flexible multilayer substrate.

Abstract: A lighting device includes: a plurality of LEDs arranged in an at least two-dimensionally dispersed manner; a transparent resin layer that covers the plurality of LEDs in an integrated form; a photo-detecting unit that detects an intensity of light emitted from the plurality of LEDs using a photodetector, the photodetector being arranged inside, on a surface, or in the vicinity of the transparent resin layer; and a power supply circuit unit that controls driving of the plurality of LEDs based on a detection output from the photo-detecting unit. Here, the number of the photodetector is smaller than the number of the LEDs, and the photodetector detects an intensity of light emitted from the LEDs and propagated through the transparent resin layer.

Abstract: To obtain stable linear torque-output characteristics over a wide torque range in a magnetostrictive torque detecting apparatus having a shaft to be measured, an exciting coil for magnetically exciting the shaft, and a detecting coil for detecting magnetostrictive components generated in the shaft distorted by a torque, the shaft is particularly composed of a substrate shaft portion made of a high yield point material and a shape anisotropic layer portion made of a high magnetostrictive material metallographically welded on an outer surface of the substrate shaft. The welded shape anisotropic layer portion is formed with two symmetrical groups of concave/convex portions each arranged at regular angular intervals on the outer circumferential surface thereof at an inclination angle with respect to the axial direction of the shaft.

Abstract: The present invention provides an elevator system for transferring a large number of passengers at a high speed and for operating elevators to stop at each floor or as an express for passing floors. An ascending passage and a descending passage are sectionally formed in an elevator shaft having an upper turning portion, a fixed portion and a lower turning portion, respectively. Both the ascending and descending shafts are provided with a local line, a passing line and a sliding area. Switch frames for switching the line and the area are provided at a plurality of locations and a linear motor drive mechanism is provided on the cages and a center core of the elevator shaft.
