Abstract:
A method and a device for converting an image are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for converting a two-dimensional image to a three-dimensional image by an image conversion device can include: receiving and setting overall depth information for an original image; classifying the original image into partial objects and setting three-dimensional information for each of the partial objects; generating a first image by moving the original image by use of the three-dimensional information; receiving and setting a zero point for the original image; generating a second image by moving the original image by use of the zero point; and generating a three-dimensional image by combining the first image and the second image. Accordingly, a still image can be converted to a three-dimensional image.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a continuous process for manufacturing aliphatic polycarbonate by polymerizing carbon dioxide and one or more epoxide compound in the presence of catalyst, in which carbon dioxide, one or more epoxide compound, and the catalyst are continuously supplied to polymerization reactor to produce aliphatic polycarbonate, separate unreacted carbon dioxide and epoxide compound and recycle them as raw materials.
Abstract:
A memory system has first and second primary memories and first and second secondary memories coupled to the first and second primary memories, respectively, the coupling comprising at least one point-to-point connection. A memory module includes at least two of the first and second primary and first and second secondary memories. A first connection element, such as a connector or solder, connects the memory module to a mother board. A second connection element, such as a connector or solder, connects at least one other of the first and second primary and first and second secondary memories to the mother board. At least one of the memories on the first memory module is coupled to at least one of the other memories. The memory system also includes a memory controller which is connected to the primary memories by a point-to-two-point link.
Abstract:
Provided are an imaging method for use with a variable coded aperture filter and an imaging apparatus using the imaging method. The variable coded aperture filter includes a plurality of regulated patterns which may be properly selected, and an image obtained via a certain pattern of the variable coded aperture filter may be processed by a deconvolution method related to the certain pattern. The patterns in the variable coded aperture filter have different aperture degrees from each other so as to adjust an exposure amount, and accordingly, a subject which is extremely bright or extremely dark may be photographed and depth information and focus information may be obtained from the photographed image. Therefore, images of high image quality may be obtained in a large range of brightness variation.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device can include an insulation layer on that is on a substrate on which a plurality of lower conductive structures are formed, where the insulation layer has an opening. A barrier layer is on a sidewall and a bottom of the opening of the insulation layer, where the barrier layer includes a first barrier layer in which a constituent of a first deoxidizing material is richer than a metal material in the first barrier layer and a second barrier layer in which a metal material in the second barrier layer is richer than a constituent of a second deoxidizing material. An interconnection is in the opening of which the sidewall and the bottom are covered with the barrier layer, the interconnection is electrically connected to the lower conductive structure.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for managing information regarding a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) device when an Internet Protocol (IP) address of the UPnP device is changed are provided. In the method, a second address of the UPnP device is obtained from a message indicating the end of a first address-based network connection based on a first address of the device, and information regarding the UPnP device is updated by using the second address.
Abstract:
A memory system and memory module includes a plurality of memory devices, each having a plurality, e.g. four, ports for transmitting and receiving command signals, write data signals and read data signals. One of the memory devices is connected to a host or controller, and the remaining memories are connected together, typically by point-to-point links. When the memory system configuration is such that at least one of the ports in at least one of the memory devices is not used, one or more other ports can use the pins that may otherwise have been used by the unused ports. As a result, a set of reconfigurable, shared pins is defined in which two ports share the pins. The port that is not being used in a particular application for the memory device is not connected to the shared pins, and another port that is being used in the application is connected to the shared pins. This allows for the used of fewer package pins and, consequently, reduced package size.
Abstract:
Example embodiments relate to a memory system and a method of controlling power thereof. The memory system may include a memory device and a memory controller. The memory device may be configured to be set to a specific power characteristic mode in response to a mode register set command so as to provide a power characteristic information corresponding to the specific power characteristic mode. The memory controller may be configured to provide the mode register set command to the memory device, configured to read the power characteristic information corresponding to the specific power characteristic mode from the memory device, configured to generate a power control information based on the power characteristic information, configured generate a command in response to the power control information, and provide the command to the memory device according to the power control information.
Abstract:
An image composing apparatus and method of a portable terminal are provided. The image composing method includes photographing an object when a key for photographing using a background image is input; extracting contours of the background image and the photographed image; and combining the background image and the photographed image such that the extracted contours are matched with each other. The photographed image can be correctly matched with the background image through only one-time photographing, even when the shaking of the user's hand occurs or the object to be photographed moves.
Abstract:
A method for demodulating signals from a dispersive, white light interferometer includes generating test interferometry spectra from an interferometer forming part of a sensor for various values of interferometer sensor optical path length. The various test spectra are correlated to a measured spectrum from the sensor to generate a correlation function. The sensor optical path length resulting in the correlation function value reaching a maximum is selected as the optical path length.
