摘要: In imaging a sample using an electron microscope, in order to reduce a time for focusing, a scanning range of a Z coordinate is reduced to complete focusing by obtaining SEM images such that: for a first predetermined number of portions, focal positions of an electron beam in obtaining each SEM image are moved in a predetermined range; then, a curved surface shape of the surface of the sample is estimated by using information relating to the focal positions of the electron beam in the first predetermined number of portions; after the images are taken, the range in which the focal positions of the electron beam are moved for scanning the electron beam on the surface of the sample is made to be narrower than the predetermined range by using the curved surface information estimated, thereby performing scanning to take the images of the sample.

摘要: A load-unload ramp structure with a cantilevered fin portion to reduce drop shock in a hard-disk drive (HDD). The load-unload ramp structure includes a first load-unload ramp, a fin, and a bracket portion. The first load-unload ramp is configured to lift a first head-slider away from a magnetic-recording disk. The fin is coupled to the first load-unload ramp and is disposed below a first parking position of the first head-slider. The fin includes a fin base portion and a first cantilevered fin portion. The first cantilevered fin portion is coupled to, and extends outward from, the fin base portion. The bracket portion is integrally attached to the first load-unload ramp, and is configured to allow affixing the load-unload ramp structure in a static position in a disk-enclosure base of the HDD. A HDD including the load-unload ramp structure and a method for providing protection from drop shock are also provided.

摘要: A refill for a correction pen is constructed of a molded article of a polyamide resin obtained from monomers having an aromatic ring or a naphthene ring, a molded article of a blend of two or more kinds of polyamide resins, or a molded article having a multi-layered structure of two or more layers whose innermost layer in contact with the correction fluid is constituted of a polyamide resin. The applying part of a refill unit mounted on a ballpoint type applicator having a pressurizing mechanism in linkage with clicking action is formed by press fitting the rear end of a ballpoint pen tip having a rotatable ball to the attachment portion at the front end of an ink reservoir and a metal tube is squeezed to cover the outer periphery of the attachment portion at the front end of the ink reservoir to which the tip is fitted.

摘要: A drainpipe cleaning apparatus prevents leakage of cleaning fluid from the drainpipe while cleaning the drainpipe. The drainpipe cleaning apparatus 1 has a cleaning fluid tank 10 for storing the cleaning fluid, a fluid delivery line 15, fluid drain line 23, gas-liquid separation tank 24, gas exhaust line 26, circulation line 28, gas recovery line 31, cleaning fluid return line 33, and control device 45. The control device 45 runs a cleaning process by driving a gas discharge pump 36 to create negative pressure inside the wastewater drainpipe 2 in a transit vessel and driving a cleaning fluid pump 16 to cause the cleaning fluid to flow backwards through the wastewater pipe 2. The control device 45 also monitors the pressure detected by a inlet-side pressure detector 20 during the cleaning process. If the detected pressure exceeds atmospheric pressure, the control device 45 runs a cleaning fluid recovery process that stops the cleaning fluid pump 16, closes the discharge valve 19, opens the cleaning fluid return valve 34, opens the release valve 27, and closes the gas recovery valve 32 so that cleaning fluid in the wastewater pipe 2 flows back through the fluid delivery line 15 and cleaning fluid return line 33 and is recovered in the cleaning fluid tank 10.

摘要: A steering damper is provided coaxially with a steering shaft, and a handlebar load is provided by causing a variable valve to generate damping force, using rotation of the steering shaft. The damping force is variably controlled in response to vehicle speed. The damping force is fixed to a minimum value C1 for vehicle speeds equal to or below first reference speed V1, fixed to a maximum value C2 for vehicle speeds equal to or above second reference speed V2, and variably controlled in response to vehicle speed and acceleration in an intermediate speed range. Fine maneuverability of a vehicle body is achieved by reducing a load on a handlebar at low vehicle speeds, and a stable movement of the vehicle body is maintained at high vehicle speed by increasing the load on the handlebar and thereby suppressing deflection of the handlebar.
