Abstract:
The invention relates to bar compositions comprising thermochromatic pigment or dye signaling temperature and/or benefit agent release. In a preferred embodiment, the pigment is introduced in the form of a separate domain (e.g., separate chips) which separate chip or chips is combined with a surfactant-containing chips to form the final bar.

Abstract:
Multi-mode (e.g., EAS and RFID) tags and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. The tag generally includes an antenna, an electronic article surveillance (EAS) function block coupled to the antenna, and one or more identification function blocks coupled to the antenna in parallel with the EAS function block. The method of reading the tag generally includes the steps of applying an electric field to the tag, detecting the tag when the electric field has a relatively low power, and detecting an identification signal from the tag when the electric field has a relatively high power. The present invention advantageously enables a single tag to be used for both inventory and anti-theft purposes, thereby improving inventory management and control at reduced system and/or “per-article” costs.
Abstract:
A very high density field programmable memory is disclosed. An array is formed vertically above a substrate using several layers, each layer of which includes vertically fabricated memory cells. The cell in an N level array may be formed with N+1 masking steps plus masking steps needed for contacts. Maximum use of self alignment techniques minimizes photolithographic limitations. In one embodiment the peripheral circuits are formed in a silicon substrate and an N level array is fabricated above the substrate.
Abstract:
Metallic nanoparticles are provided which can be used in forming metallic film conductors at reduced temperatures compatible with plastic carriers for the film conductors. This is realized by using a lower molecular weight organic encapsulant of the nanoparticle and thereby reducing the temperature at which the organic encapsulant evaporates. Further, the sintering or melting temperature of the metallic nanoparticle is reduced by using a lower sized nanoparticle, thereby increasing the particle surface area relative to the particle volume and thus reducing the required heat and melting temperature of the particle.
Abstract:
The invention relates to novel bar compositions comprising complexes formed from interaction of multivalent ions and soap. The insoluble complexes permit greater solid contents which counterintuitively, enhance lather (i.e., even if soluble soap is complexed, it is believed more can be used). Further, the complexes enhance rate of wear, hardness, mildness and deposition. The invention further comprises process for enhancing benefits by adding multivalent ions to soap stock during processing.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises novel bar compositions comprising relatively high levels of soap and of filler while maintaining good user properties.
Abstract:
A stable, multiphase liquid isotropic cleansing composition is described that contains high levels of Petrolatum and shows a substantial decrease in reflectance compared with isotropic cleansing compositions containing other oils and liquid crystalline compositions with similar levels of oils. The inventive composition has a total of less than 2% by wt. of other oils such as glyceride, mineral and silicone oils, or blends thereof.
