摘要: A helical scan type playback apparatus comprising a plurality of magnetic heads, a position signal generation element for generating a signal indicative of each position of these magnetic heads, and a switching element for video signals played back by the plurality of magnetic heads in response to the position signal from the generation element, particularly a playback apparatus for information recorded on a video tape in which the phase of a low frequency band color signal is altered every track of a video tape on the basis of a predetermined rule, thereby allowing spectra of color signals not to overlap with each other between adjacent tracks. This playback apparatus comprises an element for storing the position signal after a first predetermined time has passed from the time when a vertical synchronizing signal of the video signal is received, and a readout element for reading out the position signal stored in the storage element after a second predetermined time has passed from the time when the vertical synchronizing signal is received, and outputting it.

摘要: A magnetic brush development device has a development casing housing a development sleeve for carrying a magnetic brush thereon, the development sleeve confronting an electrostatic latent image carrier such as a photosensitive drum. When the development sleeve rotates, toner carried by the development sleeve acts as a pump for air inside the development casing housing, and the pumping action of the air causes developer to be scattered out of the housing. However, according to the invention, the development casing has spaces defined therein around the development sleeve and communicating with each other to equalize pressures therein for thereby preventing developer from being scattered out.

摘要: Two sets of TACs are simultaneously operated by a start pulse, one set of TACs using a photoelectron pulse due to an excited light from a sample as a stop pulse, and the other set of TACs using a photoelectron pulse due to a fluorescence from the sample as a stop pulse. Each TAC outputs a voltage proportional to the time from the start of action to the receiving of the stop pulse and an excitation light shape and a luminescence transient shape are simultaneously measured on the basis of output voltages from the TACs. A variable offset voltage is added to an output of at least one of the two sets of TACs and the excitation light shape and the luminescence transient shape are displayed on a two-picture synthetic display.

摘要: An analyzer compensation circuit for compensating for the fluctuations in the intensity of the light source or for stains on the windows of cells in an analyzer. A pair of D-A converters are respectively connected to compensating and measuring light detectors. An up/down counter is arranged to count either up or down in response to the output of a comparator. The comparator compares the output of the D-A converter connected to the compensating detector with a reference value and the output of the up/down counter is connected to both of the D-A converters such that the output of the converter connected to the compensating detector is adjusted to be equal to the reference value. Since the other D-A converter is also connected to the output of the up/down counter, the output of the other D-A converter has been compensated for fluctuations in the light intensity or stains on the windows on cells used in the analyzer.

摘要: An electrostatic chuck protection method includes providing an exposed chuck surface with a protective surface for preventing adherence of foreign materials including a substance exhibiting volatility in a vacuum environment, and removing the protective surface in order to perform a process of forming a substrate electrostatically held on the chuck surface with a surface layer including a substance having volatility in a vacuum chamber. The protective surface may be provided when a low vacuum pumping mode of operation is performed in a vacuum environment surrounding the chuck surface.
