摘要: A composition for a gasket which comprises (A) 100 parts by weight of a urethane acrylate oligomer having a weight-average molecular weight of 7,000 to 40,000, (B) 40 to 260 parts by weight of a polyether monoacrylate substituted at the end and/or a polyether polyester monoacrylate substituted at the end, and (C) 0.5 to 5 parts by weight of a photopolymerization initiator and has a viscosity of 4,000 to 100,000 centipoises at 25.degree. C.; and a process for producing a gasket by discharging the above composition on a substrate by using an X-Y-Z-driving automatic coating robot and curing the discharged composition by irradiation of ultraviolet light.A gasket can be formed to an accurate shape. Operations of forming and attaching the gasket can easily be conducted, and loss of the used material can be reduced. The gasket has a large tearing strength and a small compression set and is excellent in the flexibility and the sealing property. Contamination of the inside of containers of high precision instruments with volatile matters generated from the gasket can be prevented.

摘要: This invention relates to a polymer concrete composition; to methods for lining pipes and for filling girthweld concrete cutbacks using the composition, and to a reusable mold for preparing filled girthweld concrete cutbacks. The polymer concrete composition contains no transition metal compounds and comprises a vinyl ester resin or an unsaturated polyester resin, a free radical initiator; a transition metal free, an accelerator which does not contain a transition metal. The reusable mold comprises a separable sheath (10) having a means (21) for introducing a filler composition to the girthweld concrete cutback (40). The sheath is capable of conforming generally to the shape of the coated pipe (1, 2) or other coated conduit and circumscribing the entire circumference or perimeter of at least a portion of the pipe or other conduit. The mold further comprises a closure means (20) mounted on the separable sheath. The combination of closure means and the separable sheath operate in a manner such that, in one position, the pipe is free to move through the mold and, in a second position, the combination of the closure means and the sheath are such that the filler composition can be introduced to fill the cavity defined by the sheath and the concrete cutback of the two pipe sections being joined.

摘要: Novel one component shelf stable low shrinkage structural adhesive systems having controlled viscosity which cure at ambient temperatures in the absence of oxygen and at elevated temperature in the presence or absence of oxygen, with minimal dimensional change are disclosed. These adhesive systems comprise polymerizable vinyl ester polymers prepared by vinyl ester termination of certain polymerizable epoxy resins with methacrylic or acrylic acids, and also polyesters, a chemically compatible ethylenically unsaturated organic liquid monomer particularly styrene, and a catalyst/inhibitor system containing a peroxide type polymerization initiator, accelerators and inhibitors as well as, optionally, thixotropic agents, thickeners, dyes, pigments and other additives which will impart specifically desirable use properties. They are also of value as sealants where high performance is required.
