A driving apparatus for a vehicle includes a rotation member, as support pin including a flange for stopping a movement of the rotation member in one axial direction and a circumferential groove formed at an end portion that penetrates through the rotation member, an annular elastic member supported relative to the circumferential groove and configured to reduce a diameter in a radial direction, and a support member including an attachment hole in which the end portion of the support pin is idly provided, the support member including an inwardly protruding flange provided at the attaching hole and having an inner diameter equal to or greater than an outer diameter of the annular elastic member when the annular elastic member is in an elastically deformed state having reduced diameter and smaller than the outer diameter of the annular elastic member when the annular elastic member is in an elastic recovery state.

A method of operating a movable barrier operator includes engaging a flexible driven member with a drive of the movable barrier operator. The method includes moving the flexible driven member in a first direction to move a movable barrier connected to the driven member and monitoring the position of the movable barrier. In response to the movable barrier reaching a given position, the driven member is moved in a second direction without moving the movable barrier to remove slack from the driven member. A movable barrier apparatus includes a movable barrier controller operatively coupled to the movable barrier operator. The movable barrier controller is configured to cause the movable barrier operator to reverse direction of the flexible driven member a distance after stopping movement of a movable barrier without moving the movable barrier.

An apparatus for closing a locker, which can be lowered, of a baggage compartment, in particular of an overhead baggage compartment in an aircraft, wherein the locker is connected in an actuating element (5) which is held on a frame (1) such that it can rotate or pivot, and is connected to a gas compression spring (18) in order to assist a closing movement of the locker. In order to allow a completely automatic closing movement, the invention proposes that an electromechanical hybrid drive is provided in order to drive the actuating element (5) and, in addition to the mechanical component of the gas compression spring (18), has an electrical drive apparatus (12) as an electrical component.

A motor vehicle window lifter with a twistable or bendable guide rail 3 on which a driver to be coupled with a window pane is shiftably mounted and which includes fastening points 51 with are connectable with fastening receptacles 41 of a carrier element 2. Between the fastening receptacles 41 of the carrier element 2 at least one supporting point 61 is provided. When bracing the fastening points 51 of the guide rail 3 with the fastening receptacles 41 of the carrier element 2, the guide rail 3 supports on the supporting point 61 and twisting of the initially straight guide rail 3 with a specified degree of twisting and/or bending of the guide rail 3 with a specified bending radius R is effected.

The invention relates to a supporting element which takes the form of an angle bar. Suitable means are used to provide the bar with a cable guide sheave and the supporting element and the sheave, together with the aforementioned means, are mounted on a guide section of the type used in window regulators. Preferably, a supporting element and a sheave are provided close to each of the ends of the above-mentioned section.

A synchronous pull device for slide cover mechanism includes two guide members, two slide seats and two pull assemblies. Slide guide sections are disposed on each guide member, whereby the slide seats can slide along the slide guide sections. First connection ends and second connection ends are respectively disposed on opposite sides of the slide seats. Each pull assembly includes at least two idlers, a middle idler and a pull cord. The two idlers are positioned beside two different ends of two different slide guide sections on opposite sides of the two guide members. The middle idlers are disposed between the two guide members near two ends of the slide guide sections. Each pull cord sequentially goes from the first connection end of one of the slide seats through one idler, the middle idler and the other idler to connect with the second connection end of the other slide seat.

An aperture closure arrangement 10a has an aperture closure 12a formed from a plurality of panels 39 hinged together at generally horizontal axes. Each panel 39 has a runner 16a fixed near its upper edge and constrained to run in a track 31. The track 31a, 31b, 31c defines the path of the runners 16a, as the aperture closure 12a opens and closes, and therefore defines the movement of the panels 39. An elongate flexible member 22a in the form of a cable or chain is connected to the aperture closure 12a at an attachment point 24a. The elongate flexible member 22a is also connected to a drive arrangement (not shown) operable to pull open the aperture closure 12a. Guide members 30, 32 define the path of the elongate flexible member 22a between the attachment point 24a and the drive arrangement (not shown). At least one of the guide members 30 is a deflection member sufficiently close to the track 31c to allow the attachment point 24a to pass the deflection member 30 beyond the deflection member 30 when viewed from the said path, as the aperture closure 12a closes and opens, thereby threading and unthreading the elongate flexible member 22a from the deflection member 30.
