    摘要: The invention consists of apparatus for machining road surfaces of the kind comprising a body having road wheels and carrying a cutting drum mounted for rotation about an axis extending transversely of the direction of travel and movable into contact with a road surface to cut away a layer of the surface in which there is a first hydrostatic pump, connected to a hydrostatic motor for driving the drum in which there is a second hydrostatic pump connected to a hydrostatic motor for driving at least one of the road wheels and in which there is means to drive both of the pumps at constant speed, and both of the pumps have infinitely variable displacements, means being provided for varying the displacements of the pumps individually whereby any combination of drum and road wheel speeds may be provided.

    摘要: An implement hydraulic circuit including a pilot operated flow amplifier directional valve for controlling communication between a source of primary actuating fluid and a hydraulic motor. A pair of valve spools in the valve provide separate regulated flow paths for an inlet passage and an outlet passage respectively with a pair of work ports. An actuating chamber is associated with one end of each of the spools and may each be selectively communicated with a separate source of pilot fluid for actuation of either of the spools to communicate the primary source with either side of the motor. The other spool is positioned by fluid displaced from the motor to communicate the displaced fluid to the outlet passage for return to a reservoir. The configuration of the spools and their arrangement in the valve provide a capability of metering flow from motor to reservoir to prevent overrunning of the motor.

    摘要: A hydraulic system including two or more hydraulic components separately operable by means of predetermined mutually arbitrary quantities of pressure medium supplied from a common source of the latter via a common feed conduit through respective individually regulatable quantity control valves. Each quantity control valve incorporates a throttle arrangement and a control slide which are adapted to supply a maximum quantity of pressure medium to their hydraulic component by balancing the pressure on the control slide in opposite axial directions. The control slide in a first axial direction is under a pressure load in front of the throttle arrangement and in an opposite axial direction under a pressure load behind the throttle arrangement plus the pressure exerted by a pressure spring. The control slide is provided with a throttle flange cooperable with a flow opening in a slide guide whereby the supply of pressure medium to the region in front of the throttle arrangement is regulated depending upon the balance position of the control slide with increasing throttling by excess pressure in the first axial direction. Furthermore, the pressure medium of the system is employed as a remote control medium by effecting a controlled ''''tapping off'''' of pressure medium from the quantity control valve via a remote control valve and an associated single conduit connection to a remotely disposed pressure discharge source. The balance position of the control slide is thus regulated and the supply of pressure medium to the hydraulic component is controlled according to need.

    摘要: A source of a fluid at a constant pressure is coupled to a manifold and the manifold is coupled to a receiver of the fluid at a constant pressure lower than the source pressure. One of the couplings comprises an orifice having a fixed cross-sectional area. The other coupling comprises a plurality of individually actuatable, digital valve elements. A device that is movable responsive to pressure, such as an actuator for an analog valve plug, is coupled to the manifold. The states of the digital valve elements are controlled by digital signals representative of a command, so the movement of the member is representative of the command. Each digital valve element is designed so its effective orifice area in the open state can be adjusted after assembly. The arrangement is calibrated by individually adjusting the digital valve elements to compensate for the effects of tolerance variations.

    摘要: A hydraulic power unit from which a hydraulic fluid may be discharged under pressure to the wing control actuators of a guided missile, the actual pressure at which such fluid is discharged during operation being changed in accordance with the requirements of the wing control actuators. In one of two embodiments disclosed the power unit includes two plenum chambers for the hydraulic fluid, means for independently varying the pressure on the hydraulic fluid in each one of such chambers using a source of substantially constant pressure for such purpose, and means for connecting the wing control actuators to either one of the plenum chambers as required during the flight of the guided missile.
