    Abstract: Provided is a technique that can obtain a wound electrode body simply and conveniently. One aspect of a battery herein disclosed is provided with a wound electrode body in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are wound around in a predetermined winding direction around a winding axis via a separator. The battery includes a first separator and a second separator as the separator; the second separator includes a region positioned outward from an winding terminal edge of the first separator; the second separator includes an extending portion extending beyond a winding terminal edge of the first separator in the winding direction; a second adhesive is existed at least on a part of an inner surface of the extending portion; and the extending portion and a region positioned inward from the extending portion in the second separator are bonded via the second adhesive layer.

    Abstract: A electrode body of a power storage cell is accommodated in an inner space of a housing to form an upper clearance on a side opposite to a bottom surface of the housing and form a side clearance between the electrode body and each of a first side surface and a second side surface of the housing. Gas discharge valves include a first discharge valve provided on the first side surface and a second discharge valve provided on the second side surface. At least a portion of an opening of the first discharge valve is located at a region of the first side surface to which the upper clearance is projected, and at least a portion of an opening of the second discharge valve is located at a region of the second side surface to which the upper clearance is projected.

    Abstract: A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly in which first and second electrodes and a separator provided between the first and second electrodes are wound, the first and second electrodes each including a non-coated portion, exposed to an outside of the separator, and having no active material applied thereto; and a current collecting plate provided at one end of the electrode assembly at which the non-coated portion of the first electrode is exposed, the current collecting plate including a central portion, and a peripheral portion provided around the central portion and configured to adjoin one end of the electrode assembly, in which the peripheral portion includes one or more first through-holes penetrated by at least a part of the non-coated portion of the first electrode.     Abstract: According to the present disclosure, a technique capable of suppressing an internal short circuit caused by a peeled metal piece and obtaining a safer secondary battery is provided. An electrode plate (negative electrode plate) disclosed herein includes a negative electrode core including copper or a copper alloy, a negative electrode active material layer applied to a surface of the negative electrode core, and a negative electrode tab protruding to the outside from one end side in a width direction. In the negative electrode plate, a first region having an oxide film having a thickness of 40 nm to 200 nm is formed in a region of 0.01 mm to 0.2 mm from an outer end side of the negative electrode tab toward the inside in the width direction, and the first region 22t1 extends along the outer end side 22ta of the negative electrode tab 22t. As a result, a metal piece that can be peeled off from the negative electrode tab 22t can be insulated and inactivated in advance, so that an internal short circuit due to the peeled metal piece can be suppressed.
