    摘要: An apparatus for cutting soft sheetlike material, such as a fabric material, which is subject to elongation due to effect of tensile force. The apparatus has a driving device for supplying a layered severable material in an intermittent step-like manner from an upper position to a lower position. A cutting device cooperates with the layered severable material, when in a stationary vertically-suspended condition, for forming cutting lines of basic configuration therein along the elongate direction thereof, with such cutting lines being repeatedly formed following each advancing step of the material to create cutting lines which extend substantially continuously along the severable material. Devices are also provided for removing non-wanted portions of the severable material so as to leave only the essential portion. The severable material includes, superimposed sheets of flexible soft material and thin flexible backing, which sheets are separated and independently wound following the cutting step.

    摘要: An apparatus for cutting soft sheetlike material, such as a fabric material, which is subject to elongation due to effect of tensile force.     摘要: A rotary press mechanism is disclosed, including a die roller and a cooperating anvil roller. The anvil roller is formed to have an annular outer surface. The die roller is formed to have an annular outer surface portion and a cutting die formed on the die roller surface. The cutting die is formed of a pattern of substantially identical cutting elements shaped to substantially outline a rectangular area. The cutting die elements include cutting edge portions extending from the annular outer surface portions of the die roller a distance substantially equal to the distance between the annular outer surface portions of the die roller and anvil roller. The die elements may also include relief portions, disposed intermediate said cutting edge portions along the rectangular outline. The relief portions may be flush with the annular outer surface portion of the die roller, or may extend from the die roller annular outer surface portion a shorter distance than the die element cutting edge portion. The die roller and the anvil roller cooperate to outline and substantially cut a pattern of punches on the tabulation cards passing therethrough. The punches are readily removeable from the tabulation card upon the application of pressure.

    摘要: A novel bag machine and method for sealing a novel bag is disclosed. The bag is formed by positioning adjacent end surfaces of the bag tightly together and forming a plurality of tab structures on the ends of the bag which are turned against at least one of the end surfaces of the bag to lie flush therewith. Adhesive is applied to the area of the end surfaces and the tab structures and reinforcing tape is positioned over the adhesive and over the adjacent end surfaces to cover the turned tabs. The novel machine comprises a conveyor and a perforator assembly for conveying the bag and perforating the plurality of tab structures in combination with a tab turner to turn the tabs against one of the ends of the bag. Adhesive and reinforcing tape then are introduced into the sequence after which a cut-off and a pressure group complete the sequential operation of the machine. The method for applying adhesive to both sides of adjacent surfaces on a bag or similar material is also disclosed. A bag may have one or both ends sealed in the novel manner disclosed.
