Abstract: A wheel hub includes a support ring (1). The support ring(1) includes an integrally formed inner wheel rim (11), a large span dual bearing support frame (12), and a rotor protection frame support groove (13). A lateral end of the support ring (1) is detachably provided with a tire quick replacing ring (2). The inner wheel rim (11) is provided with a first tire sealing face (101). The tire quick replacing ring (2) is provided with a second tire sealing face (201). A wheel hub motor wheel uses the above mentioned wheel hub. An electric vehicle uses the wheel hub motor wheel. Through the above wheel hub motor wheel and the electric vehicle, rapid replacement of a tire or rapid removal of the tire from the wheel hub for maintenance can be implemented without removing the wheel hub of the wheel from a vehicle body; this allows the replacement or maintenance of the tire to be time-saving, effort-saving, and greatly convenient. In addition, the wheel hub also provides a brake radius as large as possible and a maximized rotor space of an external rotor motor.

Abstract: A wheel assembly includes a wheel base and a side rim disposed about the wheel base. A recess is formed on an inside surface of the side rim. A cavity is disposed between the wheel base and the side rim. An air seal is disposed between the wheel base and the side rim. A locking mechanism secures the side rim in position around the wheel base. The locking mechanism is configured to prevent the air seal from disengaging with the inside surface and allowing air to exit the wheel assembly between the wheel base and the side rim when the locking mechanism is properly installed. The locking mechanism is also configured to permit the air seal to disengage the inside surface and allow air to exit the wheel assembly between the wheel base and the side rim when the locking mechanism is not properly installed.

Abstract: A combination wheel and valve assembly has a plurality of spokes each having at least one aperture through a rim-end thereof. A rim has an inner surface and a spoke mating element opposite the inner surface. A plurality of through-holes extend through the spoke mating element of the rim. A plurality of bolts are shaped to fit through the aperture of the rim-end of each of the spokes, and into one of the plurality of through-holes of the spoke mating element, to fasten each spoke to the rim. A conduit extends through the inner surface of the rim to one of the through-holes of the rim, such that a valve assembly can extend through the aperture of one of the spokes and engage the through-hole having the conduit, thereby enabling fluid flow through the valve assembly and the conduit to the inner surface of the rim.

Abstract: A take-apart tire and wheel assembly including a multi-piece wheel rim having axially spaced bead flanges, a rim base, and a pneumatic tubeless tire, preferably adapted to removably receive in its tire inflation chamber a safety runflat insert. The wheel assembly also includes a safety vent for preventing inflation of the tire cavity in the event of improper assembly or disassembly of the safety tire and wheel assembly, including an O-ring seal disposed between opposing portions of rim segments of the wheel assembly, and mounting studs and associated nuts that releasably clamp the rim segments together with the O-ring captured in compression therebetween. The outboard wheel rim segment includes a wheel mounting disc and also a safety inflation valve coupling fixed to the outboard rim segment. The rim segment and coupling each have a through passageway and together define an interior air passage which communicates with the tire cavity. At least one of the through passageways is permanently connected to the rim segment and has a safety control cross sectional configuration adapted to prevent passage therethrough of an air inflation valve provided on an inner tube of sufficient size to fit within said tire cavity and capable when inflated of rendering said wheel and tire assembly normally operable for supporting its normal vehicle load in a run-mode of the vehicle. The safety inflation valve coupling and rim segment are thus operable to prevent insertion of such an inner tube valve through the one passageway permanently rim-connected. The coupling itself may be permanently or removably connected to the rim segment.

Abstract: A multi-piece rim assembly comprises a rim base, sealing member, lock ring and bead seat band. The sealing member and lock ring have specified positions such that each is at least partially disposed in an annular groove in the radially outer surface of the rim base, with the lock ring being nearer to an axial end of the rim base than the sealing member. The bead seat band is coaxial with and slidably mounted around the rim base. When all of the components of the rim assembly are in their specified positions, the bead seat band engages the sealing member to form an airtight seal. If the entire lock ring is not in its specified position, an axial end of the bead seat band contacts the lock ring and prevents the airtight seal from being formed.

Abstract: A drawn automotive vehicle wheel comprising first and second wheel halves contiguous about a disc plate positioned in between. The wheel halves are generally cup-shaped, each having a center section and an integral rim section and the disc plate is of similar planar configuration as the respective center sections. In the respective center sections and in the disc plate are respectively congruent apertures with integral projections emanating from the rear surface of each center section, defining a central opening and alignment apertures.
