Abstract: An air duct system for an aircraft provides passengers with light, data, electrical power, and sanitized air. The air duct system includes an air duct having a main body and a visible light source configured to generate visible light, where the visible light is modulated by one or more controllers based on a visible light communication protocol. The air duct system simultaneously achieves four functions for improving passengers' flying experience. First, a portion of the visible light transmitted by the air duct illuminates the interior cabin of the aircraft. Second, by modulating the visible light, the air duct system transmits and distributes data that is received by the passengers' electronic devices. Third, a portion of the visible light is converted into electrical power at each passenger seat to power passengers' electronic devices. Fourth, in embodiments, the visible light is emitted at a germicidal wavelength spectrum to create sanitized air.

Abstract: A lighting unit body comprises: a light source; and shaped-members, in which a housing portion in which the light source is disposed, reflective surfaces for reflecting light from the light source, and an emission outlet for emitting the light from the reflective surfaces are respectively formed in the longitudinal direction. When a position at which the emission outlet is disposed is defined as forward and a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction is defined as a front-to-rear direction, and a direction orthogonal both to the longitudinal direction and the front-to-rear direction is defined as a left-to-right direction, then the emission outlet is formed in a front portion of the reflective surfaces, and the housing portion is formed in a rear portion of the reflective surfaces directed obliquely rearward at a predefined inclined angle on one of left or right side. The predefined inclined angle is an angle that inhibits visual observation of the light source from the front of the emission outlet, and the left-to-right direction position at which the light source is disposed is included in the left-to-right direction position at which the emission outlet is located.

The light strip, a portion of the circuit board being stacked with the light strip, and at least one set of the connecting pads is disposed between the light strip and the portion of the circuit board are stacked sequentially in a radial direction of the glass tube.
