摘要: A system and method for measurement of one or more parameters of a power grid (10) is disclosed. This comprises determining a plurality of events in at least one power waveform on the power grid using at least two sensors (30, 50) and recording timings of the plurality of events in at least two different locations in the power grid. The data gathered is used to determine differences between the timings recorded in the at least two locations. A processing unit (40) is used to analyze the differences of the timings to determine the one or more parameters. These parameters include power flow, short circuits, and breaks in the power grid (10).

摘要: A method for characterizing the power consumption of a data center includes the steps of measuring one or more power consumption parameters associated with the data center when no workload is present, generating one or more workloads in the data center in which one or more three phase PDUs include an imbalanced phase, measuring one or more power consumption parameters associated with the data center during the one or more generated workflows, and characterizing the power consumption of the data center due to phase imbalance of the one or more three phase PDUs based on the measurements. By characterizing the power consumption of the data center due to phase imbalance based on empirical measurements, an accurate characterization of the power consumption attributable to phase imbalance can be achieved.

摘要: An expectation module determines an expected average power consumption of a heat pump for a predetermined period as a function of indoor and outdoor temperatures of the building during the predetermined period. A difference module determines a power difference between an average power consumption of the heat pump during the predetermined period and the expected average power consumption of the heat pump for the predetermined period. A grade determination module determines a grade of the heat pump for the predetermined period based on the power difference of the predetermined period. A reporting module generates a displayable report including the grade of the heat pump for the predetermined period.

摘要: According to some aspects, a power regulation system for energy harvesters that lacks a battery is provided. In some embodiments, the power regulation system may receive power from multiple energy harvesters that generate energy from different sources, such as wind currents and ambient light. In these embodiments, the power regulation system may selectively provide power from one or more of the energy harvesters to a load as environmental conditions change and power itself with energy from the energy harvesters. Thereby, the power regulation system may start and operate without a battery and provide power to the load over a wider range of environmental conditions.
