    摘要: Lenticules of predetermined optical power and size are formed photographically in the emulsion of a photographic film. An emulsion is exposed to a target having a profile mathematically related to the cross sections desired in the lenticules to be formed. Exposure can be to a cyclically uniform target through a cylindrical lens, by scanning the cyclical target across the emulsion, or by scanning a single profile across the film emulsion in a raster pattern. Upon processing the emulsion in a prescribed manner, a phase image comprising contiguous cylindrical lenticules having cross sections which are predetermined in accordance with the target profile is formed in the emulsion. In a second embodiment, lenticules in an array or matrix having predetermined profiles are produced by exposing two emulsions to a target as above described and processing both emulsions to density images. The density image carrying processed emulsions are then superimposed, the density images formed thereon being orthogonally oriented. A third emulsion is then exposed to the superimposed orthogonally oriented emulsions. Upon processing the third emulsion to an image, lenticules having the desired cross sections are formed in relief in the third emulsion.

    摘要: In a photothermographic element, composition or process for producing developed images employing processing with heat, a combination comprising (a) photographic silver halide in association with (b) a silver salt of a long-chain fatty acid and (c) a phenolic leuco dye reducing agent for the silver salt of a long-chain fatty acid provides an image in color. After imagewise exposure of the photothermographic element or composition, a color image can be obtained by heating the photothermographic element or composition containing this combination. This combination can be in a diffusion transfer, photothermographic element.

The method comprises coating the surface of an insulating substrate with a solution of metal salts of organic acids in a mixed solvent consisting of alcohol, water and ammonia to form a photosensitive layer consisting of said metal salts thereon, irradiating the desired portions of the layer with ultraviolet rays so as to deposit the metal on a pattern of a desired circuit, developing and fixing the deposited metal, and carrying out the plating on the pattern, whereby the deposited metal functions as the nuclei for the plating.

    摘要: Improvement of photographic characteristics of vesicular film such as an increase in its speed and a reduction in its gamma by contact of film prior to exposure with an alkanol having up to about three carbon atoms. Equivalent results are obtained by contact with acetonitrile where the film''s vehicle is a thermoplastic linear poly (hydroxy ether) polymer of an epihalohydrin and a dihydric phenol. In both cases where such treatment is followed by a second treatment with water an even greater improvement in photographic characteristics is obtained. Following treatment an equilibration period is required to permit solvent to be released from the film.
