Abstract: Examples are disclosed for sending or receiving channel state information (CSI) reports associated with coordinated multi-point (CoMP) schemes. The examples include user equipment (UE) constraining CSI feedback to one or more transmission points implementing a CoMP scheme with the UE. The examples also include a transmission point such as an evolved node B (eNB) triggering CSI feedback and receiving a CSI report in response to the trigger. The CSI report generated based on the UE constraining CSI feedback. Constraining CSI feedback may include the UE generating fewer CSI reports, reusing information between CSI reports or increasing an amount of time allowed for processing and generating CSI reports. Other examples are described and claimed.

Abstract: Described herein are various principles for operating transfer protocols using adaptive flow control techniques. In accordance with some of these principles, a client may adaptively negotiate with a server regarding a window size to use when communicating datagrams using a connectionless content unit transfer protocol like the Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP). In some implementations, a client may inform a server whether to increase or decrease a window size. In these implementations, the client may increase the window size upon determining that a previous window size has led to successful transfer of content without any loss of datagrams and the client may decrease the window size upon detecting a loss of a datagram. Because of the limited resources available in some environments in which these techniques may be used, in some implementations a window size may be increased by small amounts but may be decreased drastically upon detecting a loss.

Abstract: A device can determine a congestion window (CWND) value, associated with a first transmission control protocol (TCP) state, for a TCP flow that involves one or more devices using active queue management (AQM). The first TCP state to cause the CWND value to be increased at a particular rate. The device can determine a round trip time (RTT) value, associated with the first TCP state, for the TCP flow. The device can determine that one or more TCP state conditions are satisfied. The device can classify the TCP flow into a different TCP state. The different TCP state to cause the CWND value to be maintained, decreased, or increased at a rate that is different than the particular rate. The device can transmit one or more packets, associated with the TCP flow, based on classifying the TCP flow into the different TCP state.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method for selecting consecutive resource blocks (RBs) on an available frequency band and an associated base station (BS). The method comprises the step of determining a minimum possible window size and a maximum possible window size for each of selected fragments of the frequency band (S210), wherein all RBs on a selected fragment together are sufficient to empty a transmission buffer. The method further comprises the step of determining candidate fragments to be searched through (S220), by defining a reference window size range by a minimum value of minimum possible window sizes of the selected fragments and a minimum value of maximum possible window sizes of the selected fragments and determining a selected fragment, whose window size range defined by its minimum possible window size and maximum possible window size intersects with the reference window size range, as one of the candidate fragments. The method also comprises the step of searching through the candidate fragments using window sizes which fall within the reference window size range to select a minimum number of consecutive RBs sufficient to empty data stored in the transmission buffer (S240).

Abstract: Techniques for presenting discovery window selection in a NAN environment are provided. Specifically, methods that when taken alone or together, provide a device or group of devices with an efficient way of synchronizing and communicating with other devices is presented. The present disclosure includes a method that provides a device with the capability of locally selecting a discovery window subset that meets the current device power and application constraints. The discovery window subset is created based on a uniform distribution of discovery window selection within the set. The method describes the generation of the subsets such that set inclusion exits between any two sets.
