摘要: The present application provides a method for simultaneously synthesizing a biological flocculant with polysaccharide and γ-PGA as the active components by using Bacillus licheniformis. Bacillus licheniformis is inoculated to a slant culture medium to be cultured; a single colony on a fresh plate is inoculated to a seed culture medium to be cultured; and a seed fermentation broth is inoculated to a fermentation culture medium to be cultured, and then the biological flocculant having two different components is obtained. The flocculant synthesized in the present invention is high in activity and good in thermal stability; and especially, the flocculation effect of polysaccharide is relatively superior under acidic and neutral conditions, and the flocculation activity of γ-PGA is relatively higher under neutral and alkaline environments, which can satisfy a relatively large pH application range.

摘要: A process is described for the production of an immunostimulant by submerged cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum in which mycelium from agar plates or a fermentation broth is added to a liquid medium in a shake flask or a bioreactor containing nutrients such as malt extract, yeast extract, peptone and glucose having access to air or to which air is added, and which is kept in constant movement at approx. 28° C. At the proper conditions, there will be an increase in the production of extracellular lentinan, which is shown to be a better immunostimulant than intracellular lentinan. The extracellular product is precipitated from the growth medium by means of methods for the precipitation of microbial polysaccharide.

摘要: Provided herein are deglycosylating enzymes that remove a broad range of N-glycans from N-glycosylated proteins. Further provided are methods of recombinantly producing and expressing the deglycosylating enzymes. The presently described deglycosylating enzymes can be used to produce free glycans for characterization, and for prebiotic and immunostimulatory uses. In addition, the presently described deglycosylating enzymes can be used to produce deglycosylated proteins for characterization, to improve digestion, and to reduce immunogenicity.

摘要: Described herein are biological devices and methods for using the same to produce carbo sugars. The biological devices include microbial cells transformed with a DNA construct containing genes for producing a cellulose synthase and galactomannan galactosyltransferase. In some instances, the biological devices also include a gene for lipase. Methods for altering the viscosity of petroleum oil using the carbo sugars are also described herein. Finally, methods for degreasing or decontaminating water mixed with petroleum oil or other fatty substances or a surface coated with petroleum oil or other fatty substances using the carbo sugars are described herein.

摘要: A method is disclosed for hydrolyzing an alpha-1,5 glucosyl-fructose linkage in a saccharide (disaccharide or oligosaccharide) such as leucrose. This method comprises contacting the saccharide with an alpha-glucosidase enzyme such as transglucosidase or glucoamylase under suitable conditions, during which contacting step the enzyme hydrolyzes at least one alpha-1,5 glucosyl-fructose linkage of the saccharide. This method is useful for reducing the amount of leucrose in a filtrate isolated from a glucan synthesis reaction, for example.
