摘要: Techniques are provided for lock reservations for shared storage. A reserve command to reserve a storage structure is received by a driver from a node. The reserve command is formatted according to a storage protocol. The driver translates the reserve command into a lease acquire command formatted according to an object store protocol and targeting an object stored within an object store and corresponding to the storage structure. A lease identifier derived from a node identifier of the node is inserted into the lease acquire command. The lease acquire command is routed to the object store for obtaining a lease on the object for granting the node exclusive write access to the object.

摘要: In one embodiment, a load balancing method may comprise: assigning a plurality of packets of a flow to a plurality of segments according to a segmentation criterion, each segment including one or more packets of said plurality of packets, and at least one of the plurality of segments including more than one packet of the plurality of packets; tagging each packet of the plurality of packets with a segment sequence identifier to indicate to which segment the packet is assigned; and arranging the plurality of packets for transmission via an interconnect so that all packets belonging to a same segment will be transmitted via a same path.

摘要: A network system that implements quality of service (QoS) by rate limiting at a logical network entity is provided. The logical network entity includes multiple transport nodes for transporting network traffic in and out of the logical network entity. The system monitors traffic loads of the multiple transport nodes of the logical network entity. The system allocates a local CR and a local BS to each of the multiple transport nodes. The allocated local CR and the local BS are determined based on the CR and BS parameters of the logical network entity and based on the monitored traffic loads. Each transport node of the logical network entity in turn controls an amount of data being processed by the transport node based on a token bucket value that is computed based on the local CR and the local BS of the transport node.

The network analysis device is configured to obtain metric information that is associated with a plurality of messages and to input the metric information into a first machine learning model that outputs a traffic volume classification based on the metric information. The network analysis device is further configured to obtain bandwidth information that is associated with the plurality of network devices and to input the bandwidth information and the traffic volume classification into a second machine learning model that outputs routing recommendations based on the bandwidth information and the traffic volume classification. The network analysis device is further configured to generate routing instructions based on the routing recommendations and to reconfigure the routing device based on the routing instructions.

The configuration information comprises (1) identifiers for a plurality of cells of the application that include at least a primary cell and a secondary cell, (2) a defined state for each of the plurality of cells, (3) one or more dependencies for the application, and (4) a failover workflow defining actions to take in a failover event. The computing system receives an indication, from a customer, of a change in state of the primary cell or a request to initiate the failover event. The computing system updates, in the data store, the states for corresponding cells of the plurality of cells based on the failover workflow and updates, in the data store, the one or more dependencies for the application based on the failover workflow.

Alternatively or additionally, the facilitating can include providing, by the controller, control signaling to cause minimization of use of the one or more network resources, based on a specified fixed level of traffic monitoring fidelity associated with the plurality of QoS classes.

摘要: A method for testing network devices for networks with a large traffic load utilizes one or more traffic load amplifiers to amplify the traffic load. The load amplifiers connected to the device may receive packets of an initial traffic load, multiply or copy the received packet, alter the destination address information in the header of the copied packets to generate packets with different destination addresses, and transmit the altered packets back to the device for further routing. The altered or copied packets may then be routed via the device back to the load amplifier for further amplification. Through this amplification process, a small initial load of packets may be amplified over and over by the load amplifiers until a target traffic load is achieved at the device to test the device performance at a large traffic load.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for synchronizing multiple channels in an access network, where the multiple channels are neighboring channels such that a guard band between them or use of a diplexer to prevent inter-channel interference is not required. Synchronization is achieved by defining channel MAP (media access plan) cycle structures such that all channels work in the same direction (upstream US or downstream DS) at any given time. Moreover, the network controller of channel may send out a beacon to allow new nodes to join. A long MAP cycle (402) may be followed by three consecutive regular MAP cycles (404, 406), and (408). These MAP cycles are repeated between beacon transmissions. Synchronization allows multiple channels to be configured contiguous (without a guard band between neighbouring channels) and without utilizing diplexers. A plurality of customer premises equipment may operate on each of the communications channels.
