    摘要: A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving MAP information in a communication system are provided. A base station acquires channel quality information of each mobile station, generates sub-MAPs using MAP information, to which at least one of a coding scheme, a modulation scheme and a repetition scheme is applied, separately for each mobile station according to the channel quality information, and transmits the generated sub-MAPs. A mobile station receives MAP information from the base station, detects a sub-MAP allocated to the mobile station from the received MAP information, and restores the detected sub-MAP to MAP information using at least one of a corresponding decoding scheme, demodulation scheme and repetition scheme corresponding to coding scheme, modulation scheme and repetition scheme applied in the base station, based on channel quality information of the mobile station. Accordingly, system overhead can be reduced.

    摘要: An apparatus is capable of transmitting information via an uplink control channel in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) communication system. Uplink control information is encoded to obtain a predetermined bit string. A signal sequence corresponding to the predetermined bit string is generated. The signal sequence is cyclic-shifted according to a predetermined rule. The cyclic-shifted signal sequence is controlled according to a subframe length. Therefore, reception performance deterioration of an uplink control channel allocated to an irregular subframe can be minimized.

    摘要: Method for paging a MS in a mixed deployment of femto paging areas and macro paging areas in the network is provided. The presence information of the MS is tracked using at least two paging areas when the MS is in a first zone, wherein the first zone is overlapped by a femto paging area and a first macro paging area and the MS is subscribed to a set of CSG femto cells that are allowed for the MS in the femto paging area. The two paging areas are the femto paging area and the first macro paging area. The presence information of the MS is received by the network when the MS moves from the first zone to a second zone, wherein the second zone is overlapped by the femto paging area and a second macro paging area. The network, based on the received presence information, pages the MS only in a subset of the CSG femto cells that are allowed for the MS in the second zone.

The BS sets a first segment indicator in a medium access control (MAC) message field before transmission, if a resource allocation scheme corresponds to general data transmission. The BS sets a second segment indicator in the MAC message before transmission, if the resource allocation scheme corresponds to single frequency-based data transmission. The MS receives the MAC message from the BS, and performs renumbering according to the first segment indicator or the second segment indicator included in the received MAC message.
