Abstract:
This invention relates to the field of biotechnology or genetic engineering. Specifically, this invention relates to the field of gene expression. More specifically, this invention relates to novel substitution mutant receptors and their use in a Group H nuclear receptor-based inducible gene expression system and methods of modulating the expression of a gene in a host cell for applications such as gene therapy, large scale production of proteins and antibodies, cell-based high throughput screening assays, functional genomics and regulation of traits in transgenic organisms.
Abstract:
A system and method of mobile communication roaming where a subscriber's home network and a roaming network used by the subscriber do not have a roaming agreement. The roaming network sends a “Send Authentication/Parameters” request to the home network via an intelligent roaming system on or attached to the backbone. The home network sends an authentication response to the “Send Authentication/Parameters” request from the home network to the roaming network via the backbone and intelligent roaming system. The roaming network sends a “Update Location” request from the roaming network to the intelligent roaming system. The visitor locator register (VLR) address in the “Update Location” request is replaced with the VLR address of the intelligent roaming system to create a modified update request. The modified update request is sent from the intelligent roaming system to the home network. The home network sends an update response to the modified update request to the roaming network via the backbone and intelligent roaming system.
Abstract:
A system and method of real-time interconnect billing to facilitate invoicing and reconciliation between interconnected communication and service providers. The fully customizable, scalable, and network-based system rates and monitors costs, incorporates agreements between interconnected providers, invoices, bills, and reconciles to establish an accurate and cost-effective accounting of provider revenues and costs. The system is able to communicate with devices, networks, and interconnect providers to obtain, provide and exchange billing information and payments. The system updates subscriber accounts and alerts the home provider, subscribers, interconnect providers and users of these updates.
Abstract:
In a system in which a polling devices polls one or more devices, a method and apparatus are described that allows the polling device to adjust the polling rate of all polled devices with which it is communicating based upon the activity level of each polled device. This dynamic polling scheme permits a much more efficient allocation of bandwidth than is available with static or fixed polling schemes.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a data processing apparatus (104) including a key memory (123) to store a list of cryptography keys, a key USB subunit (132) to enable receiving one or more cryptography keys from a user to generate an updated list of cryptography keys, a cryptography unit (122) to encrypt first data to generate second data based on a cryptography key randomly selected from the updated list of cryptography keys, and decrypt the second data to generate the first data, based on the key, and a USB subunit (130) to enable exchange of the first data between a first external device (104) and the cryptography unit (122), and the second data between a second external device (106) and the cryptography unit (122). The data processing apparatus (102) is implemented on at least one of, a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs).
Abstract:
A controller of a processor core may select telemetry data generated by a plurality of sensors of the processor core at a first time interval of a plurality of time intervals. The controller may transform the telemetry data based at least in part on a model. The controller may detect a change at the first time interval based on the transformed telemetry data. The controller may determine an event based on the change. The controller may initiate an action during the first time interval based on the event.
Abstract:
Mechanisms for Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chaining and unified FPGA views to a composed system hosts and associated methods, apparatus, systems and software A rack is populated with pooled system drawers including pooled compute drawers and pooled FPGA drawers communicatively coupled via input-output (IO) cables. The FPGA resources in the pooled system drawers are enumerated, identifying a location of type of each FPGA and whether it is a chainable FPGA. Intra-drawer chaining mechanisms are identified for the chainable FPGAs in each pooled compute and pooled FPGA drawer. Inter-drawer chaining mechanism are also identified for chaining FPGAs in separate pooled system drawers. The enumerated FPGA and chaining mechanism data is aggregated to generate a unified system view of the FPGA resources and their chaining mechanisms. Based on available compute nodes and FPGAs in the unified system view, new compute nodes are composed using chained FPGAs. The chained FPGAs are exposed to a hypervisor or operating system virtualization layer, or to an operating system hosted by the composed compute node as a virtual monolithic FPGA or multiple local FPGAs.
Abstract:
Systems and Methods are disclosed that provide for organizing a first plurality of email documents into a plurality of document groups, reviewing a document group from the plurality of document groups, and associating review content with the document group. Review content may then be propagated to one or more email documents associated with the document group to produce a second plurality of email documents. One or more email documents may be annotated in accordance with the review content. Depending on the embodiment, review content may include text, graphics, audio, tag, and multimedia information. Produced documents can be searched and browsed in accordance with information in the review content. Email documents can be grouped by information in meta information and/or header information associated with the email documents into various groups, including threads or conversations.
Abstract:
A computing system can include a platform firmware to monitor hardware errors and to notify an operating system when a corrective action is to be performed to address a hardware error. The computing system can also include an extended error log to describe a hardware error. The computing system can further include an action record to direct the operating system to perform the corrective action to address the hardware error.
Abstract:
A method for a vehicle having plural electric motors includes generating motor electrical signatures for the motors. The motor electrical signatures represent one or more characteristics of electrical energy that is supplied to the motors. The method also includes identifying one or more fault measures of each of the motor electrical signatures. The fault measures are indicative of mechanical characteristics of the motors. The method further includes comparing the one or more fault measures of each motor with the one or more fault measures of the other motors in the same vehicle and predicting an impending mechanical failure of one or more of the motors based on comparing the fault measures of the motors.
