Abstract:
An apparatus for adjusting the air-fuel ratio of a fuel mixture to be supplied to an engine. The apparatus has a pair of needle valve bodies and a pair of receptacles formed in a main body of a carburetor for receiving the needle valve bodies. Each needle valve body has a needle and a head. The needles are axially movable relative to a respective needle orifice. The needles may be axially advanced and retracted by rotating the needle valve bodies within the receptacles to respectively decrease and increase the flow of the fuel mixture around the needles and through the orifices. To prevent tampering with the needle valve body setting, the head of the needle valve body has an unconventional shape requiring a specialized tool to rotatably adjust the needle valve body. To further prevent tampering, the head is recessed with the main body of the carburetor. A retainer is disposed in the main body of the carburetor and receives the needle valve bodies to facilitate maintaining alignment of the needle valve bodies relative to the receptacles. The retainer assures that a constant fuel calibration setting is maintained through the orifices by resisting displacement of the needles due to such factors as external forces applied to the head of the needle valve body or engine vibration.
Abstract:
In an electric double layer capacitor 100 comprising an electrochemical element 30 including a pair of electrode layers 32, 36; a pair of container members 10, 20 made of a metal surrounding the electrochemical element 30; and an electrically insulative gasket 40, interposed between the pair of container members 10, 20, for electrically insulating the container members 10, 20 from each other; the electrochemical element 30 is sealed by causing a crimping part 10bof one container member 10 to crimp a brim 20b of the other container member 20 while interposing the gasket 40 between the crimping part 10b of one container member 10 and the brim 20b of the other container member 20, whereas the crimping part 10b of one container member 10 and the brim 20b of the other container member 20 are bonded to each other by the gasket 40.
Abstract:
A valve body 2 is connected to a power piston, which divides a housing into a constant pressure chamber (negative pressure) and a variable pressure chamber. In the valve body 2, there is provided a brake assisting mechanism 10 between a reaction disk 3 and a plunger 9. A poppet seal 12 is opened by movement of the plunger 9, to thereby introduce atmospheric air into the variable pressure chamber and generate a thrust force in the power piston. During rapid braking, a plunger rod 23 advances relative to a sleeve 21, and balls 30 shift outward and the plunger rod 23 directly abuts against a reaction rod 22, resulting in contraction of the brake assisting mechanism 10. Therefore, the amount of movement of the plunger 9 can be increased without being affected by a reaction force from the reaction disk 3, thus enabling rapid development of servo power.
Abstract:
A vapor vent valve for a fuel pump module, wherein the valve assembly attaches directly to the bottom side of the fuel pump module flange within the interior volume of the fuel tank. When rising fuel exerts a force on the valve assembly pushing the float assembly upwards, the valve head attached to the float assembly seals directly against a valve seat on the underside of the modular flange, covering the vapor release aperture located through the flange, preventing fuel from escaping through the vent aperture. In providing a direct seal of the valve head against the modular flange, additional sealing means and potential emission sources between the valve housing and the modular flange are eliminated.
Abstract:
A receiving section 11 instructs a rendering section 12 to re-render display data of a portion of an image which requires updating. In response to the instruction, the rendering section 12 re-renders relevant display data stored in a display data storage section 13. In the display data storage section 13, the display data is re-rendered and also update information is stored. A display data transfer section 15 inquires, when transferring display data, of a contiguous-region detection section 14 about a range of data regions to be transferred. The contiguous-region detection section 14 specifies, based on the update information, a set of contiguous regions containing all the updated display data which is included in physical memory, and notifies the display data transfer section 15 about the specified contiguous regions. The display data transfer section 15 transfers to a display section 16 the data contained in the contiguous regions at a time.

Abstract:
A digital information reproduction apparatus for compressing frames of data so as to intermittently reproduce the data in fast-forward speed. A data re-write device retrieves a reproduction-target frame for the fast-forward reproduction and a parameter-calculation-target frame exclusively for calculation of the frame data parameters. The frames then are transferred to a RAM. A decoder determines the frame data in the RAM, calculates the parameter-calculation frame data, and decodes the reproduction frame data by use of the parameter obtained as above. The described operation prevents expending the reproduction frame data with an incorrect parameter so as to normally fast-forward reproduce the compressed data. Furthermore, the present can select a frame used in the fast forward reproduction according to a feature index so that a section subjected to the fast-forward reproduction can be easily grasped by the user.

Abstract:
This invention relates to a subrack device applicable for an SDH network, and more particularly to a subrack device which can be produced flexibly in response to a customer's need. The subrack device has a subrack body commonly used regardless of a type of the subrack device. The subrack body has a circuit-board-unit housing portion and an outer-connecting-board mounting portion. Circuit boards and outer-connecting-board connecting-boards of different types are prepared. The outer-connecting-board mounting portion has a plurality of outer-connecting-board mounting territories. The outer-connecting-boards are plugged in the outer-connecting-board mounting territories to produce the subrack device meeting the customer's need.
