The present invention relates to a method for transmitting uplink control information in a wireless access system and a terminal for the same. More particularly, the method comprises the following steps: attaching, if the bit size of uplink control information is larger than a preset number, cyclic redundancy check to the uplink control information; calculating the number of wireless resource elements for transmitting the uplink control information to which the CRC is attached; coding the uplink control information to which the CRC is attached, using a tail biting convolutional coding (TBCC) technique, based upon the calculated number of the wireless resource elements; and transmitting a physical uplink shared channel signal containing the coded uplink control information to a base station, wherein the uplink control information is either hybrid automatic repeat and request acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK/NACK) information or rank indication (RI) information.

Methods, apparatuses, and systems are described related to mapping special subframes in a wireless communication network. In embodiments, an eNB may assign demodulation reference signals (DM-RSs) and/or cell-specific reference signals (CRSs) to a downlink pilot time slot (DwPTS) of a special subframe responsive to a determined configuration of the special subframe. In embodiments, an eNB may bundle the DwPTS or an uplink pilot time slot (UpPTS) of the special subframe with another subframe for scheduling. In embodiments, a UE may estimate a channel associated with the special subframe based on DM-RSs and/or CRSs transmitted in another subframe. In embodiments, an eNB may exclude the DwPTS from scheduling for certain special subframe configurations if a new carrier type (NCT) is used. In embodiments, an eNB may exclude certain special subframe configurations from use for NCT communications. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Disclosed herein are methods for transmitting a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) signal in a wireless communication system, which includes setting transmit power for the PUCCH signal, and an apparatus thereof. If the PUCCH signal is transmitted on a subframe configured for a scheduling request (SR), the PUCCH signal includes one or more hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) bits and an SR bit. When determining the transmit power for the PUCCH, the SR bit is selectively considered depending on whether or not a transport block for an uplink shared channel (UL-SCH) is present in the subframe.

According to the present invention, even if a transmission device transmits a signal using channel selection through a plurality of antenna ports, the overhead of a resource for channel selection, which occurs in proportion to the number of antennas, is reduced. Additionally, as the number of antenna ports participating in signal transmission is increased, multiplex capacity is reduced. According to the present invention, the degree to which the multiplex capacity is reduced according to the increase in the number of antenna ports is decreased.
