Abstract:
An ink jet printer with a roll of paper stored within an imaging drum. The paper through a longitudinal opening in the drum to the outside, passes around the drum, where it is held in place during the imaging process, and then ejected from the drum to the desired length and cut off by a cutter that extends the full width of the paper. While the imaged sheet is being ejected from the drum, the next length of paper is drawn from the interior of the drum and around the outside of the drum in position for the next imaging operation. The length of paper that remains projecting from the drum after the imaged paper has been cut off is then withdrawn into the interior of the drum through the longitudinal opening in the drum surface until only a short stub, which will not interfere with the subsequent imaging operation, remains protruding from the drum. Precise movement of the paper is under the control of a counter that is responsive to the paper movement. This counter movement also provides an indication in the event the paper jams and warns when the supply of paper within the drum is nearing its end. The entire operation is automatic under the control of a central processor unit.
Abstract:
Handling devices for use in containerized transport systems are adapted for temporary but rigid attachment to the ends of a container. Each device comprises a frame provided with (a) locking devices to engage the standard ISO castings or like fittings of the container, (b) power-operable extending legs with feet, which legs can be extended into ground contact and lift the container to permit loading on to a vehicle or off-loading, and (c) sockets for engagement by the prongs of a fork-lift machine to facilitate handling of the device when being fitted to or removed from the container.
Abstract:
Disclosed are protective wraps for fire tubes in heater treaters which reduce corrosion of the fire tubes. A protective wrap for a fire tube in a heater treater having at least one sheet of corrosion resistant material bent around at least a portion of the fire tube, and wherein the sheet of corrosion resistant material is coupled to the fire tube. The protective wrap may be coupled to the fire tube through the use of bands, welding or the like. The protective wrap may be formed from a variety of types of stainless steel or other corrosion resistant material.
Abstract:
According to various embodiments, a vehicle seat track cover includes a substrate configured to be positioned over a seat track and a slot formed along the substrate. The slot is configured to facilitate passage of a seat support from the seat track to a vehicle seat.
Abstract:
A battery pack includes at least one voltaic cell module. A substrate is mechanically coupled to the module and configured to receive excess heat therefrom. A section of an electrically insulating thermal gap pad is arranged between the module and the substrate. The pad includes a dielectric sheet supporting a deformable layer.

A system, software and method for electronically adjudicating a dispute includes selecting an electronic dispute adjudication level from multiple levels providing various extents of procedural options involved in the adjudicating of the dispute, and electronically processing the adjudicating of the dispute in accordance with the selected level. The multiple levels preferably include successive levels providing enhanced procedural options to parties involved in the dispute. The successive levels may correspond to increasing amounts in dispute and/or may be selected by one or more parties involved in the dispute.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for separating air from a fluid, such as syrup, as the fluid enters a first chamber of a system; passing the fluid from the first chamber to a second chamber via a first device; passing the air from the first chamber to the second chamber via a second device so as to reintroduce the air back into the fluid and form a new fluid mixture having more uniform air bubbles; and discharging the new fluid out of the system.
Abstract:
A jacketed light emitting diode assembly is provided, which includes a light emitting diode including a set of positive and negative contacts, and a lens body containing a semiconductor chip and end portions of the contacts. An electrical wire set of first and second electrical wires are connected to the positive contact and the negative contact, respectively. A light transmissive cover receives the lens body, and has an opening through which at least one of the contact set and the electrical wire set passes. An integrally molded plastic jacket at the opening of the light transmissive cover provides a seal at the opening against moisture and airborne contaminants. A waterproof light string including one or more of the jacketed light emitting diode assemblies is also provided, as are related methods.
Abstract:
An LED light string employs a plurality of LEDs wired in block series-parallel, where the one or more series blocks, each driven at the same input voltage or rectified AC input voltage as the source voltage (110 VAC or 220 VAC), are coupled in parallel. This voltage matching requirement for direct AC drive places fundamental restrictions on the number of diodes on each diode series block, depending on the types of diodes used. The same method that apply to matching the sum of the LED lamps (VAC values) to the AC input, or applied voltage in an AC circuit apply to matching the sum of the LED lamps (VP values) to the full-wave or half-wave rectified AC (VP) voltage applied. Filtering capacitors may also be employed.
