An object of the present invention is to prevent formation of a badly situated via metal in a Damascene wiring portion in multiple layers having an air-gap structure. In the present invention, a via is completely separated from an air-gap 45 by forming an interlayer insulating film 44 having the air-gap 45 between adjacent Damascene wiring portions after forming a sacrifice film pillar 42 from a selectively removable insulating film in a formation region of a connection hole. The present invention can provide multiple-layered buried wiring in which a high reliable via connection and a reduced parasitic capacitance due to the air-gap are achieved.

With this arrangement, the exchanging processes of the assembling tools can be carried out without depending on the human hands, even when the type of the assembly product is changed. A leakage-prevention plate having a finlike configuration is interposed between the open ends of the two cavities. Thus, the path of least resistance between terminal fixtures within the respective cavities extends over both surfaces of the leakage-prevention plate. For this reason, the value of leakage current between the fixtures retained by the same connector will be extremely small, and the electrical corrosion of the terminal fixtures will be reliably suppressed. Furthermore, the leakage-prevention plate may possess a high degree of water repellency by being formed of an oil-impregnated resin in which particles of lubricating oil are dispersed within synthetic resin and/or by having the surfaces machined to a mirror finish. This prevents a continuous band of water from developing between the two terminal fixtures. The above structure may be applied to a male and/or a female connector of the connector assembly.

A thermochromic opaque/transparent composition is composed of dispersion, in vinyl chloridevinyl acetate copolymer matric resin, which has been obtained by blending with hindered amine compound selected from piperidine derivatives within a particle size range of 0.1 to 2.0 .mu.m, of a reversible thermochromic material consisting of (a) an electron-donating color-developing organic compound, (b) a compound having a phenolic hydroxyl radical, and (c) a homogeneous fused composition containing a compound selected from alcohols, esters, ketones and carboxylic acids, and capable of exhibiting reversible change in transparency together with change in color in response to temperature variation, with hysteresis with a temperature difference of 10.degree. C. to 50.degree. C. between the low and high trigger temperatures.
