    摘要: A method includes receiving in a communication terminal a sequence of downlink frames from a communication network that includes multiple cells arranged in first and second layers. The first layer corresponds to a first class of cells selected from a group of classes consisting of macro-cells, micro-cells, pico-cells, femto-cells and low-power nodes (LPN). The second layer corresponds to a second class of cells, different from the first class. One or more cross-layer frames in which at least a first cell in the first layer and at least a second cell in the second layer transmit data, and one or more same-layer frames in which only one or more of the cells in a single layer that currently serves the terminal transmit the data, are identified in the sequence. Cross-layer channel feedback is calculated over the cross-layer frames, and same-layer channel feedback is calculated over the same-layer frames.

    摘要: A method includes receiving a Multiple-Input Multiple Output (MIMO) signal over multiple communication channels from an antenna array including a first set of antennas having a first polarization and a second set of the antennas having a second polarization that is orthogonal to the first polarization. First feedback information is calculated relating to first interrelations between the antennas within either the first set or the second set. Second feedback information is calculated relating at least to second interrelations between the first set and the second set of the antennas. The first feedback information is transmitted at a first time/frequency granularity, and the second feedback information is transmitted at a second time/frequency granularity that is finer than the first time/frequency granularity.

    摘要: Performance of an electrohydrodynamic fluid accelerator device may be improved and adverse events such as sparking or arcing may be reduced based, amongst other things, on electrode geometries and/or positional interrelationships of the electrodes. For example, in a class of EHD devices that employ a longitudinally elongated corona discharge electrode (often, but not necessarily, a wire), a plurality of generally planar, collector electrodes may be positioned so as to present respective leading surfaces toward the corona discharge electrode. The generally planar collector electrodes may be oriented so that their major surfaces are generally orthogonal to the longitudinal extent of the corona discharge electrode. In such EHD devices, a high intensity electric field can be established in the “gap” between the corona discharge electrode and leading surfaces of the collector electrodes.

    摘要: Technologies are generally described for an enhanced Quantized Congestion Notification (QCN) congestion control approach, referred to as Fair QCN (FQCN) for enhancing fairness of multiple flows sharing link capacity in a high bandwidth, low latency data center network. QCN messages may be fed back to flow sources (e.g., servers) which send packets with a sending rate over their share of the bottleneck link capacity. By enabling the flow sources to regulate their data traffic based on the QCN messages from a congestion control component, the queue length at the bottleneck link may converge to an equilibrium queue length rapidly and TCP throughput performance may be enhanced substantially in a TCP incast circumstance.
