摘要: A mixing module for use in a dispenser system having a housing with a front end, a rear end and an interior opening between the front and rear end, and the housing having a cap covering at the front end. A rod and a mixing chamber are received within the interior opening in the housing and have a rod reception passageway which receives the rod. The mixing module has at least one chemical inlet opening into the rod reception passageway, and the rod is adjustably received within the rod reception passageway with a forward end of travel that places the rod at the front end of the housing. A solvent feed passageway extends in a rearward to forward direction entirely within a wall portion of the housing. There is also a cap covering the housing defining a solvent feed space (e.g., a double wall combination) at the front end with the solvent feed space extending radially inward for solvent feed to the rod upon rod positioning at the front end).

摘要: A planarization composition is set forth for chemical mechanical planarization of dielectric layers for semiconductor manufacture. The composition comprises spherical silica particles having an average diameter of from 30 nm to about 400 nm, and a narrow range of particle sizes, wherein about 90% of the particles is within 20% of the average particle diameter. The composition includes a liquid carrier comprising up to about 9% alcohol and an amine hydroxide in the amount of about 0.2 to about 9% by weight. The pH of the composition is in the range of about 9 to about 11.5, and the remainder of the solution is water. The composition has low amounts of metal ions, and the composition is used for thinning, polishing and planarizing interlayer dielectric thin films, shallow trench isolation structures, and isolation of gate structures. The invention also comprises methods for using the planarization composition in the manufacture of semiconductor devices.

摘要: A device and method for performing electrolyte assisted tissue ablation of metaplasia in the esophagus includes a shaft with an expandable barrier which is deployable from the shaft's distal end. Also included in the device are an electrode and a temperature/impedance sensor which are each mounted on the shaft. Alternatively, the shaft may be a catheter formed with several lumens which are used independently for housing optical elements and for transferring fluid. In the operation of the device, the distal end of the shaft or catheter is placed in the esophagus proximal the cardia. The barrier is then deployed to the cardia and expanded to seal the esophagus from the stomach. The esophageal volume between the barrier and the catheter is partially flooded with a conducting medium and an electrode is deployed into the conducting medium. The sensor is also deployed into contact with the tissue to be ablated. Using open-loop control, or using temperature, impedance, or visual monitoring for closed-loop control, the metaplasia is ablated by passing radio frequency energy from the electrode and through the conducting medium for contact with the tissue being ablated.

摘要: A method and system for providing Doppler data that is corrected for misalignment between the flow direction within a vessel and the beam orientation of the ultrasound probe. A conventional ultrasonic Doppler color mapping system is adapted to include a system to measure and record the free space position and orientation of the ultrasonic probe, as well as a system to generate and record the experiment time. A set of 2D image planes is acquired, each plane labelled with time, position, and orientation data. A structural representation according to the acquired data is used to determine the flow direction for the imaged vessel structure. Based on this identified flow direction, and the orientation and position information for each acquired 2D slice, the 2D Doppler signals are appropriately transformed into corrected velocity values. These corrected velocity values may then be used to construct a 3D flow field as a function of time.
