    Abstract: A radio frequency front end module is provided for a high power capability and a high signal band selectivity. The front end module includes an external filter and an integrated circuit coupled with the external filter via two external filter leads. The integrated circuit includes a transmit-receive switch, a power amplifier and a low noise amplifier. The transmit-receive switch alternates between coupling an antenna port to a transmit port and coupling the antenna port to a receive port. The power amplifier amplifies a modulated radio frequency signal. The low noise amplifier amplifies a received radio frequency signal when the antenna port is coupled to the receive port. The external filter can be replaced to adapt to various requirements of signal frequency bands, without the need of modifying the layout of the integrated circuit.

The wireless client device has an active operation state and a standby operation state. The access point detects a property of each of a first wireless communication channel and a second wireless communication channel, and applies a policy to the detected properties to select one of the first wireless communication channel and the second wireless communication channel. While the wireless client device is in the active operation state, the access point steers the client device to communicate with the access point over the selected channel.

    Abstract: A technique is described for selecting an encoder to encode video captured by a network-connected camera system based on characteristics of deployment of the network connected cameras system. The network-connected camera system may include one or more cameras and a base station connected to each other via a network, which can be a wireless network. A processing system, for example at the base station, receives data indicative of characteristics of deployment of the network-connected camera system, processes, the received data to select an encoder, and causes the one or more cameras to process captured video using the selected encoder. In some embodiments, encoder selections can be continually updated based on changes in the deployment of the network-connected camera system.
