The pneumatic tire includes a cavity, and the run-flat support member is disposed in the cavity of the pneumatic tire. The run-flat support member includes an annular shell and elastic rings. The annular shell has a support surface located radially outward and two leg portions formed radially inward. The elastic rings support the leg portions on the rim. The leg portions of the annular shell are detachably attached to the elastic rings.
Abstract:
An auxiliary member, made of metal or synthetic resin, is disposed between each rim seat of the rim of a wheel and at least a bead base portion of each of the beads of a pneumatic tire fitted to the rim seats.

Abstract:
A tire bead core has an annular body formed by annularly winding and bundling one bead wire in the form of a quadrangle in cross section which has two pairs of opposing sides substantially parallel to each other. The annular body comprises a plurality of winding portions radially stacked, each of which comprises sections of the bead wire annularly wound so as to align in a widthwise direction of the bead core. A winding portion of the annular body located radially outward is displaced to one side of the widthwise direction with respect to a winding portion of the annular body located radially inward.
Abstract:
An antenna apparatus is installed in a base station in a code division multiple access communication system. The antenna apparatus comprises a plurality of antenna elements, each receiving a radio signal; a controller that produces an antenna control signal based on information contained in the radio signal received at each of the antenna elements; an adjusting unit that adjusts directivity characteristics of each of the antenna elements based on the antenna control signal; and an allocating unit that allocates the antenna elements to sectors based on the antenna control signal. The sector covers a portion of a cell controlled by the base station, and the number of sectors in the cell is variable by means of the antenna control signal.
Abstract:
In mobile communication systems employing the CDMA method, the communication quality is acquired from the CDMA pilot channel. A communication quality acquisition apparatus comprises a delay profile acquisition unit comprising a control unit, synchronization unit and measurement unit, in addition to a data storage unit. The communication quality is measured by the synchronization unit and the measurement unit which are alternatively controlled by the control unit. When the communication quality is acquired through the CDMA pilot channel, the data acquisition efficiency can be significantly raised.
Abstract:
A pneumatic tire having at least two or more pieces of carcasses, wherein a high hardness rubber component sheet, which has tensile stress of 2.0 MPa or more when extended by 20% to a tire circumferential direction and JIS-A hardness of 65 or more, is arranged at least between carcass plies at a tread portion.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device having a multi-value memory including an offset ROM and a manufacturing method thereof can be obtained which allows accurate formation of a source/drain region and an offset region. In this semiconductor device, an offset source/drain region is provided so that a side end portion thereof is positioned substantially in flush with a lower end of an external surface of a sidewall insulating film placed on a side surface of a first gate electrode. Consequently, the offset source/drain region can be formed easily in a self-aligned manner by ion implantation using the sidewall insulating film as a mask, thereby forming the offset region accurately in a self-aligned manner.
Abstract:
Each of the portions corresponding to the crossings of a plurality of first strip conductive layers serving as bit lines and a plurality of second strip conductive layers serving as word lines crossing the conductive layers at right angles is used as one memory cell. An oxide film is provided between the first strip conductive layers and the second strip conductive layers. The thickness of this oxide film is set in each memory cell according to stored data. Also a multi-value memory can be realized, since the amount of stored data in each memory cell is an arbitrary amount of 1 bit or more by making the stored data of a plurality of types of memory cells having different thicknesses in the tunnel oxide film 15 correspond to a plurality of different data. The size of each memory cell can be reduced since the occupying area of each memory cell on the semiconductor substrate is dependent on the width of the first strip conductive layer and the second strip conductive layer. An insulation film in which tunnel phenomenon is generated can be formed using conventional manufacturing technology.
