    摘要: A rotating recording medium such as a video disc placed on a turntable is played back by a signal pickup head movable radially over and across the disc. Before and after the disc is played back, it is supported by a disc support over the turntable, the disc support being movable vertically between elevated and lowered positions. A switching mechanism has a single motor for selectively moving the signal pickup head and the disc support. While the disc support is actuated by the switching mechanism, the signal pickup head is locked against movement by a locking mechanism. Since the signal pickup head and the disc support are selectively actuated by the single motor, the overall construction is relatively simple and can be manufactured inexpensively. When the signal pickup head remains inactivated, it is locked in a standby position against undesired movement even when the apparatus is tilted or subjected to an impact.

    摘要: A signal pickup device for an apparatus for playing back an information storage medium such as a video disc comprises a cartridge casing mounted in a signal pickup device body, and a pickup cartridge housed in the cartridge casing and having a reproducing stylus for picking up signals from the video disc, a cantilever assembly composed of a cantilever supporting on one end thereof the reproducing stylus and a suspension member mounted on an opposite end of the cantilever, and a holder supporting the suspension member and attached to the cartridge casing for pivotable movement about the suspension member. The signal pickup device also has a coil through which a current passes for magnetically enabling the reproducing stylus to impose a stylus force on the video disc. The holder can be adjusted in angular position through the pivotable movement about the suspension member to adjust the stylus force. The holder is bonded to the cartridge casing after the holder has been positionally adjusted with respect to the cartridge casing.

    摘要: In a pickup carriage transporting mechanism for a disk record player, such as a video disk player, a stopper made of a plate like member having a U-shaped recess is provided to correct the attitude of the carriage. The carriage is arranged to move left and right so that the stylus of the pickup moves linearly to pick up information from a disk on a turntable. Since the carriage is pulled at its front end by a loop-like wire to effect the leftward and rightward movement, the carriage is apt to be inclined from a desired angle. When the carriage is returned to its resting position, the front wall portion of the carriage will be partially received in the U-shaped recess having a width which is equal to or slightly greater than the thickness of the front wall portion so that inclination of the carriage is forcibly corrected by the stopper. Attitude correction will provide smooth loading and unloading of a disk because of accurate alignment of a plurality of sections of a guide rail used for insertion and removal of a disk casing. A nonthreaded nut made of an elastic synthetic resin may be used to minimize the play of the guide roller.

    摘要: A reproducing apparatus reproduces a disc-shaped recording medium which is accommodated within a case. The case comprises a jacket which has a space for accommodating the disc-shaped recording medium and an opening for allowing the disc-shaped recording medium to go in and out of the jacket, and a lid member inserted through the opening of the jacket for closing the opening of the jacket. The reproducing apparatus comprises an inserting opening part through which the case is inserted into the reproducing apparatus, a turntable for rotating the disc-shaped recording medium, lid member locking mechanism and disc-shaped recording medium clamping mechanism respectively provided at the innermost part of the reproducing apparatus opposite to the inserting opening with respect to the turntable, jacket opening enlarging mechanism provided in the vicinity of the inserting opening, moving over the turntable between the position in the vicinity of the inserting opening and the innermost part of the reproducing apparatus, accompanied by operation of inserting the case into and pulling the same from the reproducing apparatus, and an elevating mechanism for moving a member for supporting the disc-shaped recording medium upwards and downwards independent of the turntable.

    摘要: A rotary recording medium reproducing apparatus comprises a turntable onto which a rotary recording medium is placed, a motor for rotating the turntable, a reproducing transducer for reproducing a recorded signal from the rotary recording medium placed onto the turntable, and a clamping mechanism for clamping the rotary recording medium on the turntable. The clamping device comprises a support structure capable of unitarily rotating with the turntable and moving up and down independently with the turntable, for supporting a part in the vicinity of a center hole of the rotary recording medium when the support structure is in a raised position, an elevating mechanism for moving the support structure upwards and downwards, clamping fingers provided on the support structure for clamping the rotary recording medium on the turntable at a part in the vicinity of the center hole of the rotary recording medium when the clamping fingers are operated, where the clamping fingers are supported at positions deviated from their centers of gravity so as to rotate towards a clamping releasing direction, and a receiving and stopping member for rotating the clamping fingers towards a clamping direction opposite to the clamping releasing direction by receiving and stopping parts of the clamping fingers when the support structure is lowered. The support structure is separated from both the elevating mechanism and the receiving and stopping member when the support structure is lowered. Further, the clamping fingers are applied with a rotational force in the clamping direction due to the weight of the support structure, to press the part of the rotary recording medium in the vicinity of the center hole thereof against the turntable.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing a Nb.sub.3 Sn superconductor comprising the steps of preparing a composite conductor element which is composed of Cu-Sn alloy matrix and one or more Nb cores inserted and disposed in said matrix, if necessary sheathing the outer surface of the Cu-Sn alloy matrix with copper, subjecting the composite conductor element to a diameter reducing working until the predetermined diameter is reached, then forming an Sn-plating layer on the outer surface of the reduced diameter composite conductor element and thereafter subjecting the Sn-plated composite conductor element to diffusion heat treatment so that an intermetallic compound of Nb.sub.3 Sn is formed, and a method for manufacturing hollow superconducting magnet off an intermetallic compound type comprising the steps of extending a plurality of multicore superconductors together with thin tapes of a low temperature melting metal along grooves of a hollow conductor carrier, winding the superconductor assembly around a magnet reel and then heating up the superconducting magnet assembly to melt the thin tape of low temperature melting metal so that the multicore superconductors are secured to the hollow conductor carrier.
