    摘要: An image processing apparatus displays a realistic image depending on a user's viewpoint. A sensor control unit 41 detects a user's viewpoint and a point of interest based on signals from various sensors, and outputs the detected viewpoint and point to a depth-of-field adjusting unit. The depth-of-field adjusting unit reads, from the image database, a depth of field set beforehand (or designated each time) and image data of images captured from different positions according to user's viewpoints, and outputs the read depth of field and data to an image combining unit. The image combining unit combines a plurality of image data items output from the depth-of-field adjusting unit and displays a combined image on a display. The present invention is applicable to a television apparatus.

A light-control screen 25 is rotated, and projectors 211 to 21N irradiate the screen 25 from various directions with light rays corresponding to image data captured from those directions. In this case, when the forward direction of the light-control screen 25 is aligned with the projecting direction of one of the projectors 21n, an image corresponding to light rays emitted from the projector 21n is displayed on the light-control screen 25.     摘要: An authentication processing apparatus for performing authentication based on a user's normal operation is provided. The authentication processing apparatus performs the authentication processing on the basis of operation information obtained from normally operating an information processing apparatus. Operation information obtained from operating an input unit by the user, such as a keyboard inputting mode, is obtained to serve as operation information, and the obtained operation information is checked against operation information registered in a database to perform authentication. Authentication is performed taking into consideration a plurality of pieces of operation information. With the checking processing in which less dispersed data is weighted, user authentication with high accuracy is made possible.

An embedding coder embeds the second data into the first data by rearranging, according to the second data, at least partial data of the first data stored in the memory. A decoding apparatus for decoding coded data in to the original first data and the original second data without deteriorating the quality of the data includes a relation calculating unit for calculating a relation between first partial data and second partial data of the coded data. A decoder decodes the coded data into the original first data by moving the first partial data and the second partial data of the coded data based on the relation calculated by the relation calculating unit, and decodes the second data that is embedded in the coded data according to the movement.

A retrieving unit 27 compares the image feature quantity of the retrieval image with the image feature quantity stored in the image feature quantity database 25 and specifies a still image which is similar to the retrieval image. An output unit 28 reads metadata of the content, generates display data to be necessary for performing timeline displaying, and further, generates display data for displaying a retrieval result on a timeline.
