Abstract:
A data transmitting apparatus includes a packet generator which generates a plurality of packets regarding multi-channel audio sample data and transmitter which transmits the plurality of generated packets to a data receiving apparatus. Each of the plurality of packets includes an identifier field to distinguish a position or an order of the packets.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a display device driving method and the like that can suppress degradation of display quality at the time of switching to a video based on a video signal from an external signal source. The display device driving method according to the present disclosure includes: receiving a training signal transmitted from an external signal source; after receiving the training signal, transmitting a lock signal to the external signal source at a timing based on an internal synchronization signal of the display device; after transmitting the lock signal, receiving a video signal that is transmitted from the external signal source and is synchronous with an external synchronization signal; and displaying a video by using the video signal received from the external signal source.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a display device for processing and displaying an image signal. The display device includes an image receiver configured to receive packetized image data of an encoded image signal or a bit stream of image data of the encoded image signal, a decoder configured to parse metadata from the packetized image data or bit stream and decode the image signal from the image data of the encoded image signal; and an HDR image processor configured to analyze HDR information in the metadata, and generate an HDR image of the image signal from the analyzed HDR information and the decoded image signal.
Abstract:
An aspect of the present invention proposes a method for performing partial refresh on display panels. According to one or more embodiments of the present invention, the display panels may be implemented as self-refreshing display panels communicatively coupled with a computing device that generates graphical data for display in the display panel. To perform partial refresh, consecutive frames are compared to identify the portions of the frames with updated material. In one or more embodiments, only the pixels corresponding to the updated portion(s) are refreshed in the display panel.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosures provide a method, system and apparatus for transmitting intelligent information. When one frame of video data x is to be transmitted, a SDI sending terminal determines whether there is intelligent information satisfying a transmission condition; the transmission condition comprising that intelligent information is not transmitted and transmission of a frame of video data corresponding to the intelligent information is finished. If there is the intelligent information satisfying the transmission condition, the SDI sending terminal adds intelligent information y being one item of the intelligent information satisfying the transmission condition into a preset position of the video data x; and transmits the video data x having the intelligent information y. By using the solutions of the present disclosures, implementation costs are reduced and security is improved.
Abstract:
Systems, apparatuses, and methods for synchronizing backlight adjustments to frame updates in a display pipeline. A change in the ambient light is detected and as a result, backlight settings are adjusted. To offset a reduction in the backlight, the color intensity in the frames is increased. While the change in ambient light is detected asynchronously, the adjustment to the backlight settings and color intensity is synchronized to a frame update via a virtual channel for the auxiliary channel of the display interface.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for generating and applying scene-stable metadata for a video data stream are disclosed herein. A video data stream is divided or partitioned into scenes and a first set of metadata may be generated for a given scene of video data. The first set of metadata may be any known metadata as a desired function of video content (e.g., luminance). The first set of metadata may be generated on a frame-by-frame basis. In one example, scene-stable metadata may be generated that may be different from the first set of metadata for the scene. The scene-stable metadata may be generated by monitoring a desired feature with the scene and may be used to keep the desired feature within an acceptable range of values. This may help to avoid noticeable and possibly objectionably visual artifacts upon rendering the video data.
Abstract:
To cause image information to be appropriately displayed among a plurality of information processing devices. An information processing device includes a wireless communication unit and a control unit. The wireless communication unit is configured to perform real-time image transmission with another information processing device according to a wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) Certified Miracast specification. The control unit is configured to perform control in a manner that second image information to be displayed on a non-display region included in first image information transmitted from the other information processing device is acquired, and a combined image in which the first image information is combined with the second image information is displayed on a display unit.
Abstract:
Resources may be managed in a topology for audio/video streaming. The topology includes audio/video sources and sinks and intervening branch devices. Messages between these sources, sinks, and branch devices may be used for resource management.
Abstract:
As part of a communication session, a wireless source device can transmit video component data and metadata to a wireless sink device. The wireless source device can intercept the video component data prior to the video component data being rendered by the wireless source device, and the wireless sink device can generate a frame of video data based on the video component data and the metadata.
