A motor vehicle assembly unit having a connector, in particular a quick connector, and having a motor vehicle fluid line, wherein the connector includes an insertion end for inserting the fluid line, wherein there is a securing spike on the insertion end, which is encompassed by an outer sleeve. An annular insertion space for the fluid line or a fluid line end of the fluid line is disposed between the securing spike and the outer sleeve. The outer sleeve is connected to the securing spike by means of at least one break-away element, that breaks when the fluid line is inserted in the annular insertion space, such that the outer sleeve can be slid onto the securing spike, or further slid onto the securing spike from, or with, the fluid line.

A compression ignition dual fuel engine supplies natural gas fuel and liquid diesel fuel to each engine cylinder from a common fuel injector. Each fuel injector is fluidly connected to both a liquid fuel common rail and a gaseous fuel common rail. The engine includes a surplus gas system for capturing surplus gas, such as evaporated gas from the gaseous fuel supply and pressure control system, or left over pressurized natural gas produced by engine shut down. Rather than being vented to atmosphere, the surplus gas can be burned in the engine when operating conditions present burn opportunities.

A fuel injection device includes a rail having at least one outflow opening, at least one injector situated on the rail, a connecting piece situated on the injector, and a flange element for fastening the injector on the rail. The flange element includes a central opening through which the connecting piece is guided. A metal-metal sealing is provided between the connecting piece and the rail. The connecting piece is designed in one piece with an undercut, and the flange element engages with the undercut of the connecting piece. The connecting piece presses against the rail in a sealing manner .

A fuel injector mounting assembly is configured to limit or constrain movement of a fuel injector relative to a corresponding cylinder assembly. For example, the fuel injector mounting assembly includes a base that is secured to a cylinder assembly's housing and a fuel conduit. The fuel conduit includes a first fuel conduit portion which operates in conjunction with a cylinder assembly's fuel manifold to capture a fuel injector between the fuel injector mounting assembly and the cylinder assembly's fuel manifold. The fuel conduit also includes a second fuel conduit portion which is secured to a compliant fuel line. With such a configuration of the fuel injector mounting assembly, both ends of the fuel injector are secured to the cylinder assembly to minimize any relative motion in the fuel injector's seals relative to either the cylinder assembly's fuel manifold or to the compliant fuel line.

A joint structure connects a diverging branch pipe to a fuel rail for an internal combustion engine. The fuel rail is stainless steel or steel with rust prevention processing on at least the inner face. The diverging branch pipe is a double pipe with inner and outer pipes. The inner pipe has excellent rust preventing ability with respect to fuel on its inner face in comparison with the outer face of the outer pipe. The inner and outer pipes are connected by a nut for fastening through a joint fitting. A connecting seal portion of the diverging branch pipe and the joint fitting has rust preventing ability equal to that of the inner circumferential face of the diverging branch pipe. An entire liquid contact portion, including a seal face of the diverging branch pipe with respect to the fuel is covered with the inner pipe.

A fuel injector includes a body, filter, and damper member. The body extends along a longitudinal axis between an inlet end and an outlet end and has a wall defining a flow passage extending therebetween. The filter is disposed in the flow passage proximate the inlet end. The damper member is secured to the flow passage between the inlet end and the filter. The damper member has outer and inner surfaces surrounding the longitudinal axis, the outer surface being contiguous to the wall of the flow passage to define at least one circumferential band about the longitudinal axis in the flow passage. The inner surface defines an aperture that extends through the damper member to permit fluid communication between the inlet end and the filter. A damper member is also shown and described. A method of reducing sound in the valve group subassembly is also disclosed.
