    摘要: A method for the precision machining of flanks of gear-wheel-shaped workpieces, in particular those with convex teeth, using an internally toothed tool with crossed axes, in which simultaneous relative movements take place not only in three mutually perpendicular axes but also around an axis perpendicular to the cross-axes angle such that not only the tooth flanks of the tool and the workpiece have tangential contact with one another but also the base body of the tool and of the workpiece touch one another at a point of contact IV of which the position changes continuously, and a straight line g orthogonally penetrating the base body of the tool and the base body of the workpiece at the point of contact not only intersects the axis C.sub.1 of the workpiece or of its base body and the axis C.sub.2 of the tool or its base body (points III, II), but also passes through the center I of an ideal sphere K.sub.1 which adapts itself to the base body of the workpiece at the point of contact IV. If a tool with convex teeth is used, the straight line g should also pass through the center V of an ideal sphere K2 which adapts to the base body of the tool at the point of contact IV. In addition, tools suitable for this method are proposed and possible ways of appropriately dressing them.

The dressing control mechanism preferably includes a template mechanism providing information representative of the selected contour to which the face of the grinding wheel is to be dressed; a translation mechanism translating the template's information into displacements of the dressing mechanism; and an actuation mechanism, coupled to the translation mechanism, actuating the displacements. The grinding wheel dresser preferably includes an adjustment mechanism coupled to the dressing mechanism that provides for adjustment of the dressing mechanism's alignment.

    摘要: A process and apparatus for finish grinding splines or teeth on workpieces is disclosed which includes a device to check the cross-sectional shape of the grinding portion of the grinding wheel between grinding steps. When a grinding wheel is withdrawn from the workpiece, the cross-sectional contour of the grinding wheel is checked. The device for dressing or sharpening the grinding wheel is controlled by data generated by the checking of the cross-sectional contour of the grinding wheel so that the desired contour is maintained. After being withdrawn from the workpiece, the grinding wheel contacts a strip of metal foil to leave an impression of its contour. A checking head mounted on the device checks the contour of the impression left in the metal foil. The checking head is connected to a computer unit which, in turn, controls the operation of the sharpening or dressing device.

    摘要: A method and apparatus has been disclosed for grinding contour punch parts. The apparatus is capable of movement on six axes. The main features of the invention include stopping rotation of the part when a flat surface is desired to be ground on the part and moving it directly vertically upwardly with respect to the grinding wheel, thus forming a smooth flat surface on the part. The part is moved on three axes, laterally, horizontally and vertically with respect to the grinding wheel. In addition, a dressing apparatus, movable on two axes, is disposed behind the grinding wheel and maintains a desired surface upon the grinding wheel. The dressing surface may form a ramp surface on the grinding wheel that will create a ramp surface on the finished part.
