A photoluminescent organic composition is also disclosed, which includes a compound represented by formula (II) in the presence of an electron-donatable compound, wherein definitions of R4, R5, and R6 are the same as those defined in the specification. The invention provides a method of forming a phosphonate diester compound from a ligand hydrolysis product (LHP) of a phosphite ligand used in a nickel-phosphite hydrocyanation catalyst, such as for conversion of 3-pentenenitrile to adiponitrile, which serves to climinate acidic LHP compound for a hydrocyanation reaction milieu where the acidic LHP can catalyze further catalyst ligand destruction. The invention further provides phosphonate disester compounds prepared by alkylation of diarylphosphite LHP in the presence of a nickel-phosphite catalyst comprising a bidentate ligand, and a continuous hydrocyanation process for production of adiponitrile wherein catalyst ligand breakdown is inhibited through inactivation of ligand hydrolysis products towards further breakdown. A method of stabilizing a hydrocyanation catalyst is provided.

The invention relates to the synthesis of tetraphenol-substituted structures, in particular meta-substituted xylenes. Said tetraphenol-type structures are reacted to obtain organic phosphorus compounds, in particular organophosphites. The invention further relates to the production of catalytically active compositions which contain transition metals in addition to the aforementioned organic phosphorus compounds. According to another subject matter of the invention, said catalytically active compositions are used in chemical reactions with small molecules, e.g. HCN, CO, hydrogen, and amines.

The present invention discloses a metal nickel-imidazolate chiral nano clathrate complex and preparation method thereof. The new type of metal nickel-imidazolate chiral nano clathrate complex of the present invention has the following chemical formula: [Ni14(Im)24].4NO3, in which Im is N-1-methyl-(4-imidazole) methylene imine. The complex can be obtained directly from a reaction of starting materials or prepared through first initiating a reaction between the compound ligand Im and a nickel salt under solvothermal conditions, and the complex obtained is of higher purity. The nano clathrate complex of the present invention has single chirality, and higher thermal stability, and thus has potential application in chiral catalytic materials.

The present invention discloses zeolite metal bis(imidazole) coordination polymers and preparation method thereof. The new class of zeolite coordination polymers of the present invention is a chemical compound with the following general chemical formula {[M(Blm)]×xDMF×yC2H6O×zH2O}∞, in which when M=Zn, x=0.9, y=0, z=0; when M=Cu, x=1.2, y=0, z=0; when M=Mn, x=2.0, y=0, z=0; when M=Ni, x=0.4, y=1.2, z=1.0, Blm is 1,2-bis((5H-imidazol-4-yl)methylene)hydrazine, DMF is N,N-dimethyl formamide, H2O is water. A solvothermal method or slow diffusion is used on the compounds to obtain crystals of high purity. The coordination polymers of the present invention have good thermal stability, and have strong adsorption performance for CO2 under conditions of 0° C. and normal pressure as adsorbent materials.
