Abstract: An information communication method is provided for obtaining information from a subject using a terminal device that includes an image sensor having a plurality of exposure lines. The method includes setting an exposure time of the image sensor so that a bright line corresponding to each of the plurality of exposure lines appears according to a change in luminance of the subject. The method also includes obtaining a bright line image including a plurality of bright lines by capturing the subject that changes in luminance, and obtaining identification information of the subject by demodulating data specified by a pattern of the plurality of bright lines included in the obtained bright line image. The method further includes sending the identification information to a server, obtaining place information indicating a location of the subject from the server, and displaying a location of the terminal device on a map.

Abstract: An information providing method includes: transmitting, in response to a user's access using a display terminal, first display data, including multiple check items to be used by the user who is choosing a service provider to be allowed to use a target device's log information to check the reliability of that service provider, to a display terminal; receiving selection information representing a set of selected check items including at least one check item selected from the check items included in the first display data using the display terminal; transmitting second display data representing a set of reference check items including, among multiple check items received from other users' terminals, check items which are either similar to, or the same as, check items included in the set of selected check items represented by the selection information, to the display terminal; afterward receiving editing information representing an edited set of check items obtained by editing the set of selected check items, from the display terminal after that; and providing the log information to a computer of the service provider who has been chosen based on the edited set of check items.

Abstract: A transmitting method for enabling transmission of a visible light signal in short time includes: determining a pattern of change in luminance of the light emitter by modulating a signal; and transmitting the visible light signal by changing luminance of a red color represented by a light source according to the determined pattern. The visible light signal includes data, a preamble, and a payload. In the data, a first luminance value and a second luminance value appear along a time axis. In the payload, the first luminance value and the second luminance value appear alternately along the time axis, each of a time length in which the first luminance value is maintained and a time length in which the second luminance value is maintained is greater than a first predetermined value and is determined in accordance with the signal and a predetermined method.

Abstract: The present invention relates to transmitting data on a shared communication channel in a communication system supporting multiple hybrid automatic repeat request processes and configurable to apply a bundling of transmission time intervals. The data transmitting including mapping of TTIs of the HARQ processes cyclically onto subframes. In order to efficiently support dynamic bundle scheduling, when a grant is received during a bundle transmission, this grant becomes a shifting grant, according to which the bundle is transmitted and according to the location of which the timing of the grant reception and the data transmission is adapted. The transmission of the shifted bundle is performed in accordance with the state of its retransmission process, i.e. the bundle is either initially transmitted or retransmitted.

A recording region of the recording medium has a first recording region where reading is performed at a first read rate, and a second recording region where reading is performed at a second read rate that is faster than the first read rate. The data includes a digital stream file having real-time attributes and a data file having non-real-time attributes. The data file to be read in during playback of the digital stream file is recorded in, of the first recording region and the second recording region, the same recording region where the digital stream file being played is recorded.

Abstract: A transmission method includes mapping processing, phase change processing, and transmission processing. In the mapping processing, a plurality of first modulation signals and a plurality of second modulation signals are generated using a first mapping scheme, and a plurality of third modulation signals and a plurality of fourth modulation signals are generated using a second mapping scheme. In the phase change processing, a phase change is performed on the plurality of second modulation signals and the plurality of fourth modulation signals using all N kinds of phases. In the transmission processing, the first modulation signals and the second modulation signals are respectively transmitted at a same frequency and a same time from different antennas, and the third modulation signals and the fourth modulation signals are respectively transmitted at a same frequency and a same time from the different antennas.

Abstract: Provided is a method for transmitting a broadcasting content and a line content, the broadcasting content and the line content being synchronously displayed, the method including: generating a line parity packet from a plurality of line data packets in each of which the line content is stored; transmitting the line data packet and the line parity packet through a communication line; and transmitting a plurality of broadcasting data packets in each of which the broadcasting content is stored, from a base station using a broadcasting wave, a transfer clock time of the broadcasting content being delayed by a predetermined time compared with a transfer clock time of the line content. At this point, video quality can be improved when the real-time broadcasting program content and the real-time line content are simultaneously displayed.

Abstract: When a block (MB22) of which motion vector is referred to in the direct mode contains a plurality of motion vectors, 2 motion vectors MV23 and MV24, which are used for inter picture prediction of a current picture (P23) to be coded, are determined by scaling a value obtained from averaging the plurality of motion vectors or selecting one of the plurality of the motion vectors.
