Abstract: The invention provides a modular LED array grid (100) comprising a plurality of LED array grid modules (50), each LED array grid module (50) comprising one or more arrays (151) of adjacent electrically conductive wires (51) with one or more LEDs (10) electrically coupled to two adjacent electrically conductive wires (51), wherein two adjacent electrically conductive wires (51) of at least one of the one or more arrays (151) have a first distance (d1) at the one or more LEDs (10), and have one or more folds (52) which provide a second distance (d2) between the two adjacent electrically conductive wires (51) which is larger than the first distance (d1), wherein two or more of said array grid modules (50) are coupled to each other with one or more coupling parts (60) between one or more folds (52) of a first array (151(1)) and the conductive wire (51) of an adjacent second array (151(2)). This grid (100) may be obtainable by the method of the invention.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for managing light settings of a luminaire communicatively connected to a local coordinator. The method, performed by the luminaire, includes steps of providing to the local coordinator a control state of the luminaire (e.g. occupancy status), receiving from the local coordinator a power reduction factor for the luminaire, the factor being based on the control state of the luminaire and on control states provided to the local coordinator by one or more additional luminaires, determining new illuminance settings for the luminaire by applying the received factor to current illuminance settings, measuring luminance within a sensing region of a light sensor of the luminaire while one or more light sources of the luminaire emit light according to one or more operating parameters, and, based on the measured luminance, adjusting the operating parameters to achieve the new illuminance settings.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a lighting system which can be controlled from a wireless device in dependence on complying with an access rule that the wireless device is determined to be within in a spatial region associated with the lighting system. The disclosure provides apparatus for securing against the lighting system being controlled from a device located outside the relevant region via a rogue relay device located in that region. The apparatus comprises a user location module configured to determine user location information indicative of whether a user is accompanying the wireless device in the region associated with the lighting system, and an access module which is configured with a further access rule: that it does not allow the control of the lighting system by the wireless device if the user location information is indicative of the wireless device being unaccompanied by a user.

Abstract: A system for supplying a load comprising: an input inductor configured to receive an input voltage, a selection module connected to the inductor via a switching node, and a multi-level half-bridge stage comprising a plurality of half-bridge stages, each half-bridge stage comprising a pair of switches connected between a switching node; a power combining stage coupled to each half-bridge stage using parallel bus voltage lines output from the multi-level half-bridge stage, the power combining stage configured to output a voltage to the load; and a controller configured, based on the input voltage, to selectively control a half-bridge stage to operate in a half-bridge mode to provide a stepped-up voltage on a bus voltage line, wherein the controller is further configured to control the power combining stage to provide a voltage between the bus voltage lines and the sum of these voltages is higher than a peak of the input voltage.
