Abstract:
An oxygen gas analyzing device in which gas sampled from a flue is analyzed without the need of an external driving source. A sampling tube protrudes into a flue through a wall thereof. A partition board divides the gas sampling tube extending from the protruding end of the tube forming gas flow-in and flow-out paths. A solid electrolytic element is positioned in a ceramic tube having one end open to the outer end of the gas sampling tube. A heater is provided in the walls of the ceramic tube.
Abstract:
A phosphor for a thermoluminescent radiation dosimeter, comprising lithium tetraborate as a base material and copper as an activator. In addition to these components lithium octaborate may further be included as a base material, and silver as an activator. The phosphors according to the invention have an effective atomic number quite near to that of tissue, so that it is suitable for measuring the radiation dose absorbed by a tissue specimen. Further they exhibit emission a spectra peak at 368 m.mu. which is convenient for measuring the response of widely used photomultiplier tubes. The sensitivities to .gamma.-rays are also improved, compared to the known lithium borate phosphor.

A lens apparatus comprises a barrel 100 which houses an imaging optical system including magnification-varying lens units 26 and 27, a focus lens unit 25, and a beam separation element 29 which separates a part of a light beam from an object out of a light beam directed to an imaging surface, operating members 1, 2, and 3 disposed on an outer circumference of the barrel and configured to be manually operated, a drive unit 200 disposed outside the barrel and including actuators 45 and 50 which drives each of the magnification-varying lens unit and the focus lens unit, and a controller 60 which controls the actuator, and a focus detector 31 disposed outside the barrel and configured to detect a focus state of the imaging optical system using the light beam separated by the beam separation element. The focus detector is embedded in the drive unit.

Turbostratic boron nitride (t-BN) powder having excellent sinterability. A mixture of boric acid anhydride and urea is charged in a reaction vessel together with alkali-borate, heated step by step in the vessel in an nonoxidizing gas atmosphere of one atmospheric pressure or above, and kept at a temperature from 850° C. to 950° C. to yield an intermediate product formal substantially of an amorphous boron nitride powder (first reaction step). Then the intermediate product is heated and kept at a temperature from 1200° C. to 1400° C. to crystallize crystalline t-BN, and the product is purified by washing with water and aqueous solution to obtain pure crystalline t-BN powder.

A gas fuel filling lid device for a vehicle using a high-pressure gas as the fuel has a fuel filling opening for filling the vehicle with the high-pressure gas fuel, a lid openably attached to the vehicle and covering the fuel filling opening, and a cap for the fuel filling opening. The filling opening cap is fitted to the inner surface of the lid and is connected to and disconnected from the fuel filling opening in operative association with opening and closing of the lid. The structure prevents the user from forgetting to close the filling opening cap and facilitates the connection and disconnection of the filling opening cap.
