Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for efficiently reporting Power Headroom (PH) for optimizing uplink coverage are provided. A method in which user equipment reports power headroom in a mobile communication system includes receiving Power Headroom Report (PHR) configuration information including a PH threshold value from a first base station, determining whether to perform a PHR trigger by comparing the PH value, which indicates the available transmission power of the user equipment, with the PH threshold value, and, when the PH value is less than the PH threshold value, transmitting, to the first base station, PHR-related report information including information corresponding to an influence caused by the scheduling of the first base station.

Abstract: A control message transmitting/receiving method in an MBMS-supporting mobile communication system. In the present invention, an RNC periodically transmits control messages related to MBMS RB setup to UEs. Thus, although a UE initially fails to receive an intended MBMS service, it can set up an MBMS RB by receiving a related retransmitted control message. Also, the RNC periodically provides information about ongoing MBMS services on a cell basis so that a UE can decide whether its requested MBMS service is in progress and request information required to set up an MBMS RB for the MBMS service to the RNC by individual signaling.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for a user equipment to transmit control signals to a base station in a wireless communication system supporting discontinuous reception (DRX). In particular, the method for a user equipment to transmit control signals to a base station includes: receiving a downlink control channel indicating new uplink or downlink transmission in a first period preset with reference to the last subframe of an active time; and selectively skipping transmission of a control signal in a preset second period starting from a subframe at which the downlink control channel is received. In addition, a user equipment transmitting control signals to a base station includes: a transceiver unit to send and receive signals to and from the base station; and a control unit determining, when a downlink control channel indicating new uplink or downlink transmission is received by the transceiver unit in a first period preset with reference to the last subframe of an active time, whether to selectively transmit a control signal in a preset second period starting from a subframe at which the downlink control channel is received.

Abstract: The invention relates to a communication method for a terminal, which enables the transmission of information to a base station and which comprises the steps of: attempting random access to a first base station; creating an rlf-report including one or more pieces of information associated with the random access in the event the random access fails; connecting to one base station from among base stations including the first base station; and transmitting the rlf-report to the connected base station. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a communication method for a base station, which enables information to be received from a terminal, comprises the steps of: connecting to the terminal; and receiving an rlf-report including one or more pieces of information associated with the random access from the connected terminal when a previously-performed random access in the terminal has failed. According to the embodiments of the present invention, information including channel information is transmitted to a base station to which a terminal is initially connected even when the terminal has failed in performing random access thereto, to thus enable the efficient transmission of information, and the base station may control scheduling or the like in accordance with the information reported by the terminal, thereby enabling efficient communication.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for measuring a signal. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a signal measuring method may comprise the steps of: determining whether or not a current subframe corresponds to a measurement period; measuring a serving cell signal when the current subframe corresponds to the measurement period; determining whether a current measurement mode is a normal scan mode or a short scan mode in which a serving cell signal is more frequently measured than in the normal scan mode; determining whether or not the measured serving cell signal is less than a preset low signal threshold value when the current measurement mode is the normal scan mode; and changing the current measurement mode to the short scan mode when the measured serving cell signal is less than the low signal threshold value. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a system signal measuring method and apparatus which can quickly reflect the surrounding environment while efficiently using power is provided.
